Will we ever see spring?
Just when we thought spring might be on its way, another round of cold, windy weather has arrived. There are signs, though, that the sun will shine warmth onto our little New England state. We see geese returning, mud season is here, and in some places, we get little signs like these pretty crocuses among the drab, dead grasses and plants.

For many of you who garden your way through the warm weather, you're finishing the projects you've been working on all winter. We've seen lots of customers picking out borders, backing, bindings and batting, getting tops ready for the quilting process. If you remember, you're welcome to bring your finished quilts in to show us. Most of the time, we watch the fabrics go out the door, never to be seen again. But we really enjoy it when you bring in your quilts to show off. You'll always have an appreciative audience at Yankee Pride. Happy Sewing!

Spring Classes
Our Spring 2019 class schedule is winding down. Below are the remaining new classes that begin in the next few weeks:

Star Storm Mini (May 4) with Vickie Hutchins. We've had several people interested in this class, but people's available dates and times have been scattered. Vickie has now rescheduled the class, consolidating the information and instruction to just one day. The price is now $45. If you love this quilt, and want to make one yourself, click on the class name above, and sign up online, or stop in at the shop to sign up.

Fiji Tote Bag (May 16) with Cindy. This is a great project to use a favorite fabric - something you want to show off. Add a few matching fat quarters and a lining print, and you can make a stunning bag (photo at right).

Note: Marti's Pineapple Two Ways class has been moved to October, so if you want to learn the ways of the Pineapple, keep an eye out for our Fall 2019 class schedule, coming late summer.

Click on the links above to sign up for classes online, or stop in at the shop. You can also visit our Classes page online, to see some other new offerings. We hope to see you soon!

In our last issue, we highlighted magazines from Europe. This week, we have a publication much closer to home: the new issue of Quiltfolk, which digs into all things quilting, right here in Vermont! This mag is actually more of a coffee table book, with interesting articles, great photography, and no patterns (or ads!). And in this issue, focused completely on Vermont, you'll see people and places you know and love. We ordered plenty of copies, so stop in and get yours today!
