It's colorful, and beautiful!
Flowers are blooming, and temperatures are warming - enough to wear shorts in our corner of the world! And just in time, too. The Vermont Quilt Festival is next week (!), with new days - it starts Thursday, June 27, and runs through Saturday, June 29. In previous years, the festival ran from Friday to Sunday. We're just about ready for the wave of customers who come through our door - our kits are made, patterns are printed, fat quarters are cut, and samples are on the walls. Now all we need is you, with your quilt show enthusiasm. We're fully staffed, and ready to help you find everything you need to go with the motivation you get from seeing the wonderful quilts on display. We're open extended hours for most of the week (see below), and we've got sales going on each show day, too. We can't wait to see you!

Psst!! Make sure you check out our next issue of the newsletter on July 1 - it will be Christmas in July! We'll show you all our new holiday fabrics, which have been arriving since mid-April. There are some really gorgeous prints this year. They're on the shelves now, so if you can't wait to see what's new, stop in. They're right at the side door!

Bonus Summer Classes
As most of you know, Yankee Pride does not usually run classes from June through August. This year, Vickie Hutchins, one of our instructors, would like to teach a few workshops in July, when it's hot outside, and our lower-level classroom is nice and cool. Click on the class name for more information, or to sign up online. You can also sign up by stopping in, or calling the shop at 802-872-9300.

Vickie will be offering  Chic Picnic (at left) as a full-day class on July 21. You'll learn to use the Quick Curve Ruler to make this striking quilt. She says that, using this method, curves are not as hard as they seem.

Vickie will also be teaching the Herringbone Pillow (at right) this summer, on July 23. This is also a full-day class, where, using a template, you'll learn this method of piecing with no Y-seams!

Kansas Troubles Favorites by Moda

We love that the KT designers reissue some of their favorite prints every few years. Since all of their lines coordinate, it's a great chance to pick up some more of your absolute favorite print to add to your stash.

Bountiful

by Maywood Studio

Aren't these prints rich? It's never too early to get your fall fabrics - you get the best selection is when you get them early. Pair these two prints with one or two from your stash, and make a great table runner.

Holiday Blenders

by Hoffman

Technically, these are complementary to holiday prints, but they also work well with Asian fabrics, landscapes, and lots of others. Add a little bling and some texture to your next project with one (or both) of these.

Miscellaneous prints

by Robert Kaufman

Judy likes to stock up on some common popular prints when she can, and this small group is an example. Here we have a textured blue, a classic gingham, and a pretty white-on-white.

Rejuvenation

by Maywood Studio

Ok, we saved the best for last. They just take your breath away, don't they? We're buying them, too, even though we're not quite sure what we're using them for yet. Ideas, anyone?? Either one would make a really fabulous bag - maybe the focus fabric for a Fiji tote.
