Oh, how quickly things change...
Two weeks ago, we were looking forward to spring, and all it has to offer. Now we're practicing social distancing (was this even a thing last month?), events across the world have been cancelled, and things seem more than a little unsure in our lives. Here at the shop, we are adjusting right along with everyone else, and we will keep you up to date as best we can. In the shop itself, we are cleaning counters, doors, writing implements, and other commonly used paraphernalia several times a day, in addition to the (seemingly) nonstop hand washing. As far as events at the shop go, here is where we stand right now:

*Vermont Shop Hop 2020 has been postponed. There are more details below.

*Spring 2020 Mystery class will not meet at the shop for Class 4 or Class 5. See below for more details on this.

*Yankee Pride will remain open, for our usual hours, until further notice.

*For those who do not feel comfortable coming into the shop, or who do not want to leave their homes, the following information is for you:

We have been building up our website fabric inventory, and to date, have approximately 1500 bolts available online. These are the same fabrics that are in the shop (pink barcoded bolts for our in-store customers). You can place an online order at yankeepridequilts.com, and have it shipped to you, or you can pick it up at the shop. If you choose Store Pickup, we will fill your order, and email you when it's ready. We can even meet you at the door when you arrive, order bagged and ready to go.
If you need something that is not yet available online but you know is in the shop, we can still take phone orders, too. Phone orders can also be picked up at the shop or shipped. You just need to let us know what works for you.

We quilters are resilient, and part of what helps us through is our ability to soothe our souls with fabric and thread. Every member of our staff is working through the same issues as you, our customers, are. We want everyone to stay safe and healthy, and we want things to return to normal as quickly as possible.

Spring 2020 Class Schedule

We have decided to push back some of our Spring 2020 classes. The Advanced Techniques sessions will take place approximately one month after they were originally scheduled - new dates will be listed for each class at yankeepridequilts.com as they are finalized. If you have questions, please call us at 802/872-9300.

Mystery Quilt Spring 2020

For the safety of our students, since our lower level is a closed-in area, we have decided not to hold Class 4 or Class 5 of the Mystery Quilt. Instead, all Mystery Quilters will receive their class instructions via email on the appropriate Saturday morning. If you have questions about the instructions, feel free to stop in and ask, or to call us at the shop. We hope to be meeting again in about a month.

Vermont Shop Hop 2020 Postponed!

The decision was made this past weekend to postpone the 15th annual Vermont Shop Hop for the safety of Shop Hoppers and quilt shop staffs. Once the crisis has passed and things begin to return to normal, new dates for the Shop Hop will be chosen.

Passports can still be purchased if you wish, at $7.00 each.  Due to its popularity last year, this year's Shop Hop premium is a free half yard of fabric (under $15 a yard). What could be better? The only stipulation? Fabric must be picked out when you buy your passport.

Recent Fabric Arrivals

These are the highlights of recent arrivals. Click on the photo for a closeup, and click here if you're interested in purchasing any of these fabrics by the yard on our website:

Batiks

by Hoffman

There are some lovely colors here! Large blooms, dotted batiks, and one classic print (top left in photo) make up this group. The multicolored bloom print (top right in photo) just explodes with color - perfect for an eye-catching bag, don't you think?

Seven Seas

from Kathy Hall

by Andover

These classic dark blue prints can be used in both traditional quilts and Repro quilts. There are some tiny prints, a sprig print, and the ever-popular paisley. Stock up - we're always in need of a great dark blue!

The Leah Collection

by In The Beginning

This entire group is just stunning! They are digital prints that look like watercolor paintings, and they all look like spring. Bags, quilts, curtains, and so much more - add some spring color and cheer to your home, or make something as a gift for a friend. A few of us on staff have already bought some of these for new projects!

Be Wild

by Henry Glass

Fun and funky, these adorable woodland animals have come out to play. Take these prints, add a red for contrast, and create a simple but striking kids quilt.

For a quick, easy project, all you really need to do is cut apart the panel squares, border them with a few tone-on-tones, and put the diamond print on the back. It's modern, and it's fun!
