School is back in session...
Those familiar yellow buses have hit the roads this week here in Vermont. It's time for parents and teachers to get back into their routines. For some, part of that routine is time set aside to start quilting again! Lots of you take the summer off to hike, bike, garden, and be outdoors. You put down your fabric, turn off your sewing machine, and head outside. Now, it's time to plug in, turn on, and be creative. Speaking of school, we've got a new list of classes here at Yankee Pride - some being taught for the very first time! There's a variety of quilty things you can learn, and we are happy to teach you. Check out the information below, in the Mystery Quilt and Class section, and click on the links to find out more.
We have some exciting news, for people who can't easily travel to see us - the new fabrics you see in the newsletter are now available for purchase online, as well as in the shop! Just click on the link below, in the New Fabric section, and it will take you to the New Fabrics page at yankeepridequilts.com. We're also uploading more of our in-store inventory, so click around once you get there. We're adding items to the website every day.
COMING IN OCTOBER: Yankee Pride's Sample Sale! Rae has been digging through our extensive collection of shop and class samples, and Judy has decided it's time to clear them out. Some are finished, and some are tops only, but they will all be for sale. Mark your calendar for October 11 - 14.

Mystery Quilt Spring & Fall 2019
You've been asking recently, and now we've got information for you!
The Reunion for the Spring 2019 Mystery Quilt is Saturday, September 14 at 9:30 a.m. You've had all summer to finish those gorgeous quilts, and now it's time to show them off. Even if you're not finished, bring your top, and Tony will photograph it for our website gallery. We can't wait to see how your quilts have turned out!
The Fall 2019 Mystery Quilt class will officially start on Saturday, September 21, at 9:15 and 10 a.m. This will not be a "misery" quilt - Judy's planned something less stressful - a two-color quilt! Fall 2019 Class Update
Our Fall 2019 class schedule is up and on the web! The classes listed below are starting in the next few weeks. Clicking on the link for each one will take you to the class page, where you can find more information, or sign up online. You can also sign up by calling us at 802/872-9300, or by stopping in at the shop.
Advanced Quilting Techniques, with Ruth and Marti. This is Part 1 of a two-part class. If you're pretty confident in your basic skills, but have questions about or have had problems with some more challenging techniques, this is the class for you. Students will be using Edyta Sitar's "Quilter's Patch" book as a guide, though Ruth and Marti will sometimes use different construction methods than the book for the blocks you'll be working on.
Introduction to Quilting, with Ruth. This is a very popular class! Ruth teaches students the basics of quilting, all the way down to the kinds of fabric, thread, and tools you should be using. You'll make three simple projects over the course of this multi-week class, and you'll leave class with a lot more confidence.
Wool Snowman Ornaments, with Deanna. Yes, it's still summer, but if you want to get your holiday gifts made, you have to start now. These are easy, yet beautiful, ornaments, perfect for gift-giving, or to have for your own tree.

| Recent Fabric Arrivals These are the highlights of recent arrivals. Click on the photo for a closeup, and click here if you're interested in purchasing any of these fabrics by the yard on our website:  Early Bird by Windham Fabrics Chickens are so popular...does anyone know why? We always keep some in stock, and here are the two newest additions. We love the eggs - white, brown, or speckled, they're all here! Make great kitchen accessories with these prints.
 Moonscape by dear Stella From close up, this line of dotted prints looks directional, but once you cut them up, the lines of dots seem to fade into the background. These are great for adding to your stash - you never know when you'll need them!
 Gone Fishing by Timeless Treasures Realistic colors and motifs make this a great group for a grown-up nature quilt. We all know someone who enjoys hunting or fishing - make these prints the focus of a new project for them.
 Born to Be Wild by dear Stella As you can see, animals are storming the shop! Lots of new animals this week, including these cuties from dear Stella. Giraffes are always popular, but the sloths are a bit more rare. Look at them all, hanging from tree branches!

from Jo Morton by Moda Jo's latest line is full of rich, dark colors. They're great for borders, accents and bindings. Add them to your Repro stash, and you'll be using them soon!
 Cats & Dogs by Timeless Treasures Primary colors are a perfect choice for kids quilts - they're bright and happy, and make you want to smile. Add dogs to the mix, and you've got a winner! These two prints are adorable. Add a few tone-on-tones, and you're ready to start a new project.
 Meet Me at the Barre by dear Stella What little one hasn't wanted to be a dancer at some point in their childhood? Support their dream by making them something sweet using prints from this line. Are they taking dance classes? Make them a new bag to carry their outfits and shoes.
Safari Life
from Stacy Iest Hsu by Moda Wild animals seem to be trending in quilt fabrics this year. This new line from Moda has the tiniest giraffes! Lions have happy faces, zebras graze, and all the animals live happily ever after on the savanna. We love this fun group of prints!
Sugar Sack II from Whistler Studio by Windham Fabrics Here are a few more pieces Judy ordered for our 30s collection. Sweet florals are always a good choice, and you can never have too many pinks and blues. These are great for baby quilts, too!
