Contractors, landscapers, etc. are responsible for the disposal of yard debris collected while working on a site. This service is provided for St. James residents to dispose of materials generated by the "normal activity" of maintaining lawns, shrubs, gardens, etc.
Yard debris left on common areas or vacant lots will not be picked up.
Leaves, grass clippings, twigs, pinecones, and other yard waste that can be raked must be bagged in biodegradable bags. Waste in plastic yard bags or other types of bags which are not marked as biodegradable will not be picked up.
Large items, such as branches and limbs must be neatly stacked for pick up. These items must not exceed 5 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter. They must be in manageable piles that can easily be picked up with two hands.
