April is officially here, so that means Yard of the Month is now OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS! Yard of the Month runs from April 1 to September 30, with applications due three weeks from the first, and winners announced the first day of the next month.
This is the perfect time to submit your lawn or a neighbor's and show off how much effort and love you put into your front yard.
This year, we are trying something new; YOU get to vote! Every first of the month we will announce the winner. If you win that month, please refrain from submitting an application for the next month. If you do not win, we will roll your application over and you'll be up for votes again. If you miss that month's submission deadline, that's ok, we'll include you in the next month's voting. With that said, here is the schedule below:
April 1: Applications Open
April 21: Submissions Due
April 24: Voting Opens
May 1: Winner Announced; Applications Open
May 19: Submissions Due
May 22: Voting Opens
June 1: Winner Announced; Applications Open
June 16: Submissions Due
June 19: Voting Opens
July 1: Winner Announced; Applications Open
July 21: Submissions Due
July 24: Voting Opens
August 1: Winner Announced; Applications Open
August 18: Submissions Due
August 21: Voting Opens
September 1: Winner Announced
September 22: Submissions Due
September 25: Voting Opens
October 1: Last Yard of the Month Winner Announced.
When voting opens, find the link in the newsletter to cast your vote. You will have a week to get your votes in to be counted. The first day of the month we will send a separate email announcing the winner, with the application link and a reminder of the above's schedule for that month.
The winner will receive a gift card sponsored by Daniel Tatman with The Doug Erdy Group and you'll get to have a sign in your yard for the full month. Keep a lookout on our social media for a shoutout!
Reminder, to be considered, you MUST submit a photo of your front yard. make sure it is landscape (horizontal) to help your neighbors see the whole yard!
