This Community Outreach Center's annual review reflects on our mission to serve all who enter in Jesus' Name and highlights the impact of our services on the community. We have provided assistance, including food, clothing and personal hygiene, as well as financial support through utility help and grocery cards for gas, groceries, and pharmacy expenses.

Our services have fostered hope and connection in the community, and we are committed to creating a welcoming environment for those in need. It is with humility and thanksgiving that we report to you.

WE GIVE GOD THE GLORY FOR ALL OF THESE ACHIEVEMENTS!

Here are a few details describing how we served our community.

Our Impact

Here are a few numbers reflecting the impact we had this past year. 5476 guests visited us for help this year. That number is up from 4708 in 2024.

Most of our clients live in a house or apartment but struggle to meet their monthly bills. The once-a-month help that we offer, helps them to get through the month.

Financial Review 2025

We were able to provide because of the generosity of many individuals and

partner organizations. We operated on a budget of $8889 a month. 34% of that went towards benevolence including bill help, gas/gift cards, or items we gave. 66% of the budget went towards our rent and utilities, client management software, paper supplies, etc.

Most of the food we gave was purchased at a reduced rate from the Weld Food Bank. They awarded a grant for $1000 which we used to buy 42,020 pounds of food for $1068.45. We also bought food from local stores, only as needed. We gave gift cards and helped pay a portion of a utility bill which added up to $13,438. We bought enough shampoo, toilet paper, and soap for each visitor to take 2 items to the tune of...well, you get the picture.

We gave Bibles away during the Holiday Season in 3 languages.

This man loves the Lord and was happy for a daily devotional. Encouragement in our Christian walk is reciprocal with some of our clients.

Your gift of a hand-made prayer shawl gave comfort to this lady and others during the year.

Stories For You

A man was shopping and shared that he had just gotten a job with JBS. We were excited for him! However, he shared that he did not have steel toed boots that he needed to take this job. We had just received a donation of size 13 brand new steel toed boots. (A God thing?) We gave him some heavy socks to go with the boots. He left feeling blessed and excited to go to work. Your donations bless in ways you may never know...but God does!

Recently we were shopping for the COC supplies. As was our custom, we grabbed a cane. This allows us to reach items on the bottom shelf, a task not easy for "not very bendy old shoppers". I was in the process of putting the shampoo in our cart when an older lady came up and asked if this was a favorite shampoo that was being discontinued. I replied, "No we are shopping for the Community Outreach Center. We hand them out to people who need them." She proceeded to dig in her purse and handed me a $20 bill saying, "It's not much but, I hope it helps." I assured her that we appreciated her gift. Projects This Year

In addition to regularly giving food, clothing, and hygiene once a month we offered several special projects...

We provided regular email communication to constituents who signed up for our updates.
We developed a Strategic Plan and other documents to establish sustainability and transparency at the organizational level.
We held our Second Annual Festival providing games, prizes and food for COC families.
We gave an extra bag of food to SNAP recipients thanks to the generosity of a GWC collection during "the shutdown"
We gave 76 Bibles in "3 heart languages" during the Holidays.
We provided 58 Holiday meals.
We provided 277 children with Christmas gifts from Toys for Tots or COC.

We weigh your donations. Then, they are processed by dedicated and hard-working volunteers.

YOU Are Part of the COC Team

The COC runs because so many of you care about this mission.

We wouldn't have anything to give away without our drop-off donors. You brought an estimated 13,000 pounds of donations for us to pass on.
We couldn't pay the rent or buy toiletries without those who donate cash gifts. God through you, continues to supply each need. The reach we can make to the community is defined by what we receive from donors.
Then, there are the 40 active volunteers who dedicate much time to the operations.
I believe there are many of you who pray for the COC as well. Thank You.
God provides for us at each turn.

Whether you tell your neighbors about our mission, go to garage sales with COC needs in mind, write a sacrificial check, or pray for us, YOU are an Ambassador to the COC. It takes all of us. THANK YOU

THOUGHTS FROM THE DIRECTOR

In my house, it is “family time”. The harvest is over, and we can think about Christmastime. My children and their children get so excited for holiday programs, Grands making secret gifts for their parents, and checking for their names on packages under their trees. I am thinking that your “Christmastime” is --much like ours!

At the COC, it is our busy season. Our goal is to share as much of the “Spirit of Christmas” that we can --with everyone working at the COC and anyone needing the COC. We have been saving items all year…new toys, jeans, hoodies, blankets, shoes, games…you name it! We try to build up a plethora of items to give to people that will be wondering if Christmas is for them, too. The COC fills a gap in our community. It sees people that are not always noticed.

For the most part, almost 90 percent of our clients are living in a house of some kind, barely making it from month to month. We try to be the “gap filler.” We give food, hygiene items, extra blankets, warm coats, utility help, warm socks…and then, we let our clients pick out Christmas decorations or sign up for toys to put under their tree. We are needed, to help them be part of what is going on around them and be part of the Celebration of the birth of the One we love, in the community they live in. Do you know that some of our clients offer to come and serve beside us and donate from what they have? The Lord touches those “in need” and those “that give to that need.” Amazing!

There are blessings that go beyond the Christmas Season at the COC. When I hold a baby so her parents can shop, when we find the right size boots so a man can go to work, when we pray with someone fighting illness or divorce or depression, when we feed someone…those are blessings from the Lord that go beyond our doors. Those “actions” fill both the giver and the receiver.

As our Volunteers open donated bags, they are amazed at the bounty to be shared with our clients. Sometimes, they share a personal memory-sparked by an item given to the COC or thank God for the person that donated all these “gifts” to be given away FREELY, in Jesus Name…we get blessed! When we share stories about someone finding just the right outfit for a job interview or the bag filled with cereal, meat and fruit that they haven’t been able to afford or the backpack that holds all their worldly possessions or a Bible that spoke to them, helping them on their journey…Man, we get blessed! We get humbled! We get motivated for the next person that we can help and share with! We get pumped about wanting to share with YOU about all the things you are helping us do-for His Glory!
