Connecting Points
Julie Robie, NACCC Missions Coordinator
Among the sounds and sights of the pandemic, there is one example to which we might easily relate - prefilled communion cups. It starts with the invitation to “please start opening them now, it might take a bit”. Then, many in the congregation struggle. Giggles escape. Frustrated groans erupt. Some with hands no longer steady or strong fumble until a loving hand from a nearby helper makes everything ready.
While these were the sounds and sights from the pew in front of me on a Lord’s Supper Sunday, it reminded me that as God’s people, we long to connect. First with the Lord and then with each other. One of the commonly heard comments by NACCC staff is that people deeply miss connecting with one another.
A primary part of my work as Missions Coordinator is to be a liaison between staff, NACCC leadership team members, churches, and donors. I am gathering email addresses for the mission/outreach person in each NACCC church so that they receive mission updates, newsletters, and other mission related information. Would you please send to Julie Robie the name and email address of the mission/outreach person in your church? Thank you.
