Griffin Nation...It’s back!
The GHNO Yearbook Cover Contest has returned, and the Yearbook Club is calling on our Upper School students to help create the cover of our next yearbook!
Have an idea already? Start working on it now! We can’t wait to see how you capture the spirit, tradition, and character of GHNO through your creativity.
This is a judged contest, and all Upper School students are eligible to enter.
THE CHALLENGE
Create an original design that could become the next GHNO yearbook cover!
Your entry may be drawn, digitally designed, or painted...so be as creative as you’d like. We must be able to have a scan or digital copy to load.
A few rules to keep in mind:
- Your design should reflect the ethos and spirit of our school.
- Keep your design within a classical aesthetic.
- Designs must be original and free of pop-culture references.
- Most importantly, make it something that represents Griffin Nation!
IMPORTANT FOR YOUR DESIGN
Because the winning artwork will become our actual yearbook cover, it must be able to be converted into a high-resolution digital file for printing.
The final file must be 19.5" × 12.75" at 300 dpi, or 5850 × 3825 pixels.
If you are drawing or painting your entry by hand, that’s absolutely welcome! Just keep in mind that the artwork will need to be scanned or professionally digitized at a high enough resolution to meet these requirements. Please avoid submitting a photograph of your artwork as the final file.
Deadline: October 30
Please email your entry to Mrs. Macias or turn in your artwork at the front desk.
The winning design will be selected by Yearbook Club members and faculty, and the winner and runners-up will be recognized in the yearbook!
So sharpen those pencils, open those sketchbooks, fire up your design programs, and start creating!
Questions? Simply reply to this email.
Thank you, Griffin Nation!
We can’t wait to see what you create!
