CanadaHelps March Giving Campaign
During March, CanadaHelps will make a one-time $20 donation to a charity for every new monthly gift sign-up of $20 or more!

Our Distress Line and TeleConnect and LGBTQ+ support lines operate solely on donations, grants, and fundraising.

Monthly giving is a great option to keep these lines running, and this March your donation would mean even more.

Compass Offers PAR Program
PAR stands for Partner Assault Response. It is an education/counselling program for men.

The 12-session group provides men with an opportunity to examine their beliefs and attitudes toward domestic violence/abuse and learn non-violent/non-abusive strategies and skills to resolve conflict and develop healthy relationships.

The PAR male groups are accessible by court or probation referral only.
Mental Health and Substance Use During COVID-19
It is no surprise that Canadians are reporting difficulties with coping during the pandemic.

This report from the Mental Health
Commission of Canada and the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction focuses on mental health and substance use according to gender and household size.

There is also a spotlight that looks at households with young children.
Mask Mandate, Programs, and Staff Vaccination Status
Until further notice, we require visitors to our agency offices to continue wearing masks after the restriction lifts on March 21. Thank you for keeping staff and visitors safe.

All our walk-in programs are back in full swing! Guelph and Fergus offer both in-person and virtual appointments, while Mount Forest continues to operate virtually for the time being.

Lastly, all Compass staff members are fully vaccinated. With the addition of the continuing mask mandate at our locations, personnel and visitors' safety remains our top priority.
