Greetings!

Thank you for keeping Hock Tools busy! This sheltering-in-shop business has kept us on the phone and in the shop during the chilly winds of March and April here on the Mendocino Coast.

Our last newsletter (https://conta.cc/3bXOJfQ
included a short video demonstration of the basic heat treatment of O1 tool steel. If you have tried it yourself, I’m curious how it went.

This newsletter carries with it follow-up articles. One is the promised second batch of feedback about corrosion, another about the latest from violinmaker Andrew Carruthers’ inspiring Redwood Violin project. Plus, a nice note from David Mader, who finished his beautiful new dining tabletop using one of Hock Tools’ #80 scraper blades.

Of course, if there is anything you need from Hock Tools, please let me know.
