British Council’s "
" the first ever digital art exhibition space, has been awarded as the "Best Website of the Year" at the 15th Altın Örümcek Web Awards.
Last year, British Council in Turkey launched a new digital exhibition platform to make the British Council Collection accessible by wider audiences. The platform’s first guest was curator, Elif Kamışlı with her exhibition entitled after the 16th century Scottish lament "Lowlands Away". The curator of the next exhibition that will be online in January 2018 has been selected as emerging curator Ulya Soley.

In addition, Dream Exhibition website has received the biggest prize of all,
“Website of the Year”.
Dream Exhibition is a
new online exhibition experience to discover selected art works from the British Council Collection.
The website has gained incredible attention both within Turkey and abroad, reaching to countries from Italy to Argentina, Serbia to Morocco and have been visited more than 120,000 times within a month.
