Dear Student,

I hope you are well.

It has been a harder winter for many of us.

Colder, snowier, longer. So spring this year feels like more than just a change in season. It can feel like being sprung from a cage.

Each year around this time, I come back to the same reminder.

As we return to a more active life, taking some time and attention to re-establish a healthy foundation for that activity matters more than most people think.

Another Fresh Start---Your Healthy Return Back to Your Active Life

Spring has a way of bringing you back. Back to being more active, and to everything that comes with that.

Each year around this time becomes a kind of checkpoint. A moment when you start to see more clearly how things are actually going.

You walk a little more. You stay outside a little longer. You return to movements you set aside months ago. And somewhere in there, you notice how things feel.

Sometimes it is easier than you expected. Sometimes....read on....

Spring 2026 Yoga and Movement Class Series---Foundations for Healthy, Active Living

This is where the ideas above become practice.

Through simple, enjoyable, somatics-infused yoga, movement, and mindful attention, a foundation for healthier movement and a more open, relaxed mind can develop in a direct and practical way.

Most people notice something shifting fairly quickly, even if it is small at first. The work is in helping that change hold and develop over time.

At the same time, something else often changes. As unnecessary tension begins to drop, the system is not working as hard in the background. Many people notice a quieter baseline. Less bracing. More room to respond.

The Spring 2026 Yoga and Movement classes begin Sunday, April 5, and runs through Wednesday May 27, with in-studio and online options.

If you are looking to return to activity in a way that feels more supported and sustainable, this is a good place to begin.

Saturday Series: A Somatic Entry Point and Progression

Our Saturday 9:30am Yoga and Somatic Movement Class is a more focused entry point into this work.

This is often where people start when pain or a movement challenge is more limiting, has not been resolving, or when returning to activity feels uncertain.

Here we slow things down and work directly with how your system is organizing movement. From there, we build toward more integrated, functional movement that carries into daily life.

This is where patterns that tend to stay hidden begin to become clearer, and where meaningful change often begins.

A new series begins Saturday, April 4, and runs through May 9.

Your Personalized Solution

Sometimes a more individual approach makes sense.

In private sessions, we work directly with your specific patterns. How you are moving. Where effort is being used. What is actually contributing to what you feel.

This is the same work described above, applied more directly and specifically. Targeted therapeutic movement programs are developed for you to address your issues in the moment and give you the tools and confidence to continue to grow into healthier living over time.

The goal is not to fix what is actually not broken in the first place. It is to help you see clearly enoug as we collaborate to find what helps you bring about the healthful changes you seek.

From there, small shifts can lead to meaningful changes over time.

Moving Forward from Here

A foundation is easy to overlook when things are working. It becomes obvious when they are not.

You can start simply.

If you stay with it, it tends to grow into something more.

As always I thank you for being part of this work.

Namaste,

Alan
