We are never too young or old to take care of our bones! In this workshop, emphasis will be placed on specific poses to generate the bone density response in the body. Yoga puts more pressure on bone than gravity does by opposing one group of muscles against another. It then stimulates osteocytes, the bone making cells. Based on current studies, specific poses will be highlighted to create a sense of confidence and inquiry into basic movement principles and alignment of yoga for bone density. You will be provided with an illustrated handout to continue your practice. All levels are encouraged and welcome.
