Dear Student,

I hope you're doing well and finding your way into the rhythms of summer.

This time of year carries its own momentum. Longer days, travel plans, family visits, and more saying yes to the activities that sat quietly through winter and spring. Walking more. Gardening. Golfing. Traveling. More time outside.

Life opens up.

As life picks up, it's easy to overlook the foundations that help us stay comfortable and moving well until we begin missing them.

Presence, Power, and Peace

Many of you already know that one of the enjoyable surprises of this work is that you often feel a difference right away. You leave class standing a little taller, breathing a little easier, moving with less effort, or simply feeling calmer and more settled than when you arrived. Those immediate shifts may seem small, but they are rarely insignificant.

Over time, these moments begin to add up. This can bring less accumulated tension. More freedom in movement. A lower baseline of stress. Overall effective consistent effort can leave you with more energy available for the things you actually want to do and enjoy.

This work isn't simply about stretching more or pushing harder. It is about learning to move with greater efficiency and less strain, creating a foundation that supports healthy movement and a more comfortable, active, and enjoyable life.

Below are this summer's offerings. Whether you are continuing from spring, returning after some time away, or joining for the first time, I hope you'll find a place that meets you where you are.

Summer 2026 Yoga + Movement Class Series

Summer can energize us, but it can also scatter our attention. These small group classes offer a place to reconnect, slow down a little, and move with greater ease.

Classes blend yoga, somatic movement principles, and mindful attention to help reduce unnecessary effort, improve movement quality, and support greater comfort and ease in everyday life.

The Summer 2025 Yoga and Movement classes series begins Sunday, May 31 and runs for eight weeks through Wednesday, July 30, with a scheduled break from July 2-9.

Summer Schedule Updates:

  • The Monday 7:15pm class will be taking a pause this session.
  • The Unlimited Membership now includes the Saturday morning Yoga + Somatic Movement class, offering another weekly opportunity to practice and explore.

Saturday Mornings: Specialized

Posture, Movement, and Healthy Aging

When pain or persistent discomfort becomes part of life, our natural tendency is often to push harder, stretch more, or focus only on where it hurts.

Our ongoing 9:30am Yoga and Somatic Movement Class comes from a different place.

This guided movement experience is especially appropriate for those navigating ongoing pain, tension, stiffness, or movement limitations. Rather than trying to work against the body, we explore ways of working with it.

Together we look at how long-standing movement habits can gradually shape how we move and feel. Often small changes in how we use ourselves can create noticeable changes in comfort and function.

The goal is not simply symptom relief. It is developing a different relationship with movement itself, one that supports healthy aging and helps sustain the things that matter most. Moving through daily life with greater ease. Staying active with less strain. Continuing to enjoy the activities that give life richness.

Please note: This gentle exploratory approach is best suited for ongoing patterns rather than severe or acute injuries. Feel free to reach out with questions.

Drop-ins welcome—click here for details or to join.

As the summer season unfolds, I hope you find yourself not only keeping up with life, but enjoying it.

This can show up as simply as walking farther without thinking about it. Moving lighter and easier in way that make you more available for the people you enjoy being with and for the things you love doing.

Sometimes the meaningful changes are not dramatic, and because of that they can be easy to overlook or minimize. Less effort. More comfort. More room for life.

Over time these shifts can become meaningful because they help restore the foundations that support healthy movement, active living, and a greater sense of well-being. They simply give us more of ourselves back.

Thank you for your interest and support of this work. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Namaste,

Alan
