Dear Friends,

We have had a busy week in our City!

I know many of you are seeking more information regarding the asylum seekers who arrived on Monday. There is video of a briefing I gave below and I will share more information with you as I receive it. Thank you for helping to keep Yonkers a welcoming City for all.

We also celebrated National Police Week with several special events honoring our men and women in blue. Thank you for your service to the City. As police week comes to a close, we begin National EMS Week. To our EMTs and paramedics, we are grateful for your service.

It is expected to be another beautiful weekend. Perfect weather for Yonkers Arts Weekend! Details are below.

I would be remiss if I didn't share some exciting news with you about our family. My daughter, Alexandra, received her Bachelor of Science degree earlier today. Mary and I couldn't be more proud.

Enjoy the weekend!

MIKE SPANO
