You are invited to take part in the Parks and Recreation Department's photo contest and share your love for Yorba Linda! Contestants are encouraged to submit photographs showcasing the beauty and character of Yorba Linda through its programs and natural settings by using our online entry form . Do you have a strong desire to share your passion and expertise with others? Ideal contract instructors have the flexibility to teach during a variety of dates and times at our Parks and Recreation facilities and must be certified to teach licensed programs, if required. Class offerings must fit into one of the following target ages ranges and categories: Preschool (0-5 years), Youth and Teens (5-17 years), Adults (18+), and/or Older Adults (55+). Parents, if you need a night to prepare for the hectic holidays or just a night out on the town, look no further! Recreation staff has a fun evening planned for kids, ages 6-12, including dinner, sweet treats, crafts, games, and a movie at the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House. Save your child's spot and register online!
Join the Yorba Linda Teen Action Committee in bringing joy to those in need this holiday season. We encourage you to bring a non-perishable, non-expired food item or unwrapped gift to any of our drop off locations (Black Gold Golf Club, Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House, Travis Ranch Activity Center, City Hall, and the Yorba Linda Community Center) through December 7. All items collected will be donated to the Yorba Linda Food for Families Program.
The Yorba Linda Parks and Recreation Department will be working with Santa Claus this holiday season to deliver holiday wish lists! Letters must be received by December 13 for a timely delivery and response from Santa. Mailboxes are stationed at City Hall, the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House, Travis Ranch Activity Center, the Yorba Linda Community Center, and the Yorba Linda Library through December 13. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your letter.
Add cheer to your holiday this year with a special breakfast with Santa at the Yorba Linda Community Center from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. This year's event will also include live entertainment, crafts, and activities with Santa! Parent participation is required and all family members in attendance must be registered. Register online today!
Put on your dancing shoes and enjoy an afternoon of live music by The Hep Cats, refreshments, and good company! Couples, singles, and groups are welcome at the December Senior Dance at the Yorba Linda Community Center! The dance begins at 1:00 p.m. and tickets may be purchased at the door for $5.00.
