It's not too late to do some spring cleaning! Teach your child an important lesson about money while spending quality family time together. Visit the 19th annual Celebration of the Arts Festival at Hurless Barton Park and the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House (4701 Casa Loma Avenue) hosted by the Yorba Linda Arts Alliance Foundation on Sunday, June 2 from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.! The whole family can enjoy this afternoon of music, local artist vendor booths, food, and kid-friendly activities at this free festival!
Put on your dancing shoes and enjoy an afternoon of live music by The Jim Gilman Band, refreshments, and good company! Couples, singles, and groups are welcome at the June Senior Dance at the Yorba Linda Community Center! The dance begins at 1:00 p.m. and tickets may be purchased at the door for $5.00. Participate in our Yeti Challenge to get "yeti" for our next Movie in the Park screening of Small Foot (PG) at Eastside Park on Saturday, June 15, proudly sponsored by Nate and Travis Real Estate Team. The movie will begin at dusk, so don't forget your blankets and low lawn chairs!

Here’s how the Yeti Challenge works:
Snap a photo of something new that you discover in any of our Yorba Linda Parks and e-mail the photo to ylpr@yorbalindaca.gov, including your name, the name of the park, phone number, and “Yeti Challenge” as the subject line. Your name will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win a Yeti-themed gift basket! The winners will be announced on June 15 at our Movie in the Park event. City Recreation Staff has a summer full of awesome activities planned, beginning the week of June 17! Participants, ages 4-12, can join in on Summer Youth Programs such as indoor dodgeball, soccer, basketball, and other non-traditional sports at the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House. This fun-filled beginners' volleyball league is designed for participants, ages 8-12, and focuses on the fundamentals of passing, setting, hitting, and serving. Participants will meet for instructional sessions twice a week throughout this six-week program with Saturday morning games. All participants will also receive a Spike Time t-shirt! Pickleball is back this summer by popular demand! Join us on Wednesdays and Fridays (excluding 7/24) at the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House for some fast-paced Pickleball action! For $2.00, you can enjoy an afternoon of fun with your friends from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. and all equipment will be supplied by staff.
