The purpose of this program is to honor exceptional athletic accomplishments by individual athletes or sports teams in Yorba Linda, and outstanding contributions by athletic organizations serving Yorba Linda. Visit the new Wall of Fame website and complete the nomination process online. Forms are also available in PDF format and must be submitted by Friday, March 1, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.. Fathers, sons, and grandfathers are invited to enjoy a morning of fun and fishing at the Santa Ana River Lakes. The morning will begin with a continental breakfast and raffle, followed by a joint fishing experience that is sure to create childhood memories! The 2019 Movies in the Park Series kicks off on April 13 with a showing of Incredibles 2 (PG) on the 20-foot inflatable screen! Enjoy the film at Hurless Barton Park at dusk. The 23rd Annual Flashlight Egg Hunt will be held at the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House on Friday, April 19! Participants should bring a flashlight, running shoes, and a basket to hunt for eggs. This fun-filled beginners' volleyball league is designed for participants, ages 8-12, and focuses on the fundamentals of passing, setting, hitting, and serving. Participants will meet for instructional sessions twice a week throughout this six-week program with Saturday morning games. All participants will also receive a Spike Time t-shirt! On Friday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m., Yorba Linda Senior Services will host Encore, an Evening Social for baby boomers and beyond! This event is a perfect night out for ages 50+, and will include entertainment from a live band, dancing, appetizers, and a cash bar.
