You are invited to take part in the Parks and Recreation Department's photo contest and share your love for Yorba Linda! Contestants are encouraged to submit photographs showcasing the beauty and character of Yorba Linda through its programs and natural settings by using our online entry form . Join the Veterans Memorial Association for their annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 2:00pm at Veterans Park (4756 Valley View Avenue). The event will feature keynote speaker Vietnam Era Army Veteran, 1st Lt. Clark Gasper, presentation of colors by the Esperanza High School Air Force ROTC, the Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipes & Drums will perform, and the OCSD Honor Guard will provide a 21 gun salute along with TAPS.
Is your teen looking to give back to the community and get a jump start on their service hours? Youth Empowerment Service Day will be held at the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House on November 17 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. where teens grades 6-12 can create 200-300 care packages, cards, and paracord bracelets for our active military! Guest speaker Todd Frazier will also join us to deliver an inspirational message to empower and encourage those in attendance. All materials and lunch will be provided. School service credit forms will also be available at the event.

If you need a night to get some holiday shopping done, or just a night out on the town, look no further! Recreation Staff at the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House has a fun and exciting evening planned for kids, ages 6-12 that will include dinner, dessert, crafts, games, and a movie from 6:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.! The Parks and Recreation Department will be working with Santa Claus this holiday season to deliver holiday wish lists! Mailboxes will be on display at City Hall, the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House, the Community Center, the Library, and the Travis Ranch Activity Center. Just grab the paper provided at the mailbox stations and send Santa your child's wish list with a self-addressed stamped envelope! For more information, please contact (714) 961-7192.
Join the Yorba Linda Teen Action Committee in bringing joy to those in need this holiday season. The Community Help Drive encourages community participation by donations of non-perishable non-expired food items and/or unwrapped gifts for a young boy or girl to any of our drop-off locations, including Black Gold Golf Club, Thomas Lasorda Field Jr House, Travis Ranch Activity Center, Yorba Linda City Hall, and the Yorba Linda Community Center . Add extra cheer to your holiday this year with our special Breakfast With Santa event!
