Are you, or a member of your immediate household, a veteran? Join the City of Yorba Linda and participate in this community program by displaying your veteran flag or banner. The Veteran Recognition Program is designed to honor and recognize Veterans living in Yorba Linda. The Veterans banners are 18” x 48” and are designed to be displayed on residences by affixing the banner to the eaves of the structure, patio cover, overhang, or other method. The flags are 3’ x 5’ and can be displayed using a traditional flagpole or a house mounted flagpole that many people use to display seasonal banners. Each flag/banner will state “A Yorba Linda Veteran Lives Here” and will have the logo of the military branch in which the veteran served. Banners are $25 each. Flags are $30 each.
Eligibility
Veterans who have served this country in the United States Armed Forces (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, or Navy) and currently reside in Yorba Linda are eligible to participate in this program. Only one banner or flag is allowed per residence. If multiple Veterans reside at one address, one banner/flag shall recognize all individuals. Banners or flags may be displayed for an indefinite period of time, but must be removed once they are worn and/or tattered.
To purchase a banner, please visit the Veterans Recognition Program website. Banners and flags are great gifts showing community pride and your support for a veteran and can be purchased for family members or friends that reside in Yorba Linda! If you need financial assistance for this program or assistance installing a banner or flag, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (714) 961-7160.
