Help us shape the future of Yorba Linda's iconic Adventure Playground. Please join us to share your vision at our Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting on Thursday, September 20 at 6:30 PM at City Hall. Attendees will be updated on the public outreach meetings including survey responses and group workshop plans, and will be able to provide input to the Parks and Recreation Commission on their vision for Adventure Playground.  To view more information, visit our website .  
You are invited to take part in the Parks and Recreation Department's photo contest and share your love for Yorba Linda! Contestants are encouraged to submit photographs showcasing the beauty and character of Yorba Linda through its programs and natural settings by using our online entry form . Join recreation staff every week with your tyke for our Fall Mini Sports classes that focus on fine-tuning motor skills, improving athleticism, and promoting sportsmanship! Choose from a variety of sports, including soccer, basketball, and multi-sport (soccer, basketball, tee ball, agility and games)! Registration is available online now. This six-week beginners' volleyball league focuses on the fundamentals of passing, setting, hitting, and serving. Partcipants ages 8-12 will have the chance to show off their improving skills and work with their teammates during weekly Saturday morning games! Register online now! Recreation Staff will be showing Avengers: Infinity Wa r (PG-13) at the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House on September 22 at 6:00 p.m.! Teens ages 12-15 are welcome to enjoy pizza, drinks, and popcorn with friends in the gym while they watch the movie on a 20-foot inflatable screen! Did you know that the City of Yorba Linda offers Adult Basketball, Soccer, and Slow Pitch Softball Leagues?  Try our new Men's and Co-ed softball leagues at Eastside Park on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons. View our Adult Sports website to download league information, schedules, and the "Free Agent List." Registration is now available online!
Recreation Staff is excited to host a special Halloween Teen Excursion to Knott's Scary Farm, where teens and their friends can brave a variety of haunted mazes and exhibitions. Participants will meet at the Field House and will be transported to and from the event, while being chaperoned by Recreation Staff. Register online now! Catch the wellness wave at this year's Wellness Expo, held at the Yorba Linda Community Center from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.! The event is proudly sponsored by UC Irvine Health and will feature 60+ exhibitor booths, free flu shots, medical screenings, medication take-back, informational seminars, live demonstrations, and more! Bring copies of your monthly SoCalGas and Southern California Edison bills to the Energy Coalition booth and receive a free Energy Efficiency Starter Kit and enroll in income-qualified programs that will save you money and energy! Starter Kits will be handed out on a first come first serve basis and include three faucet aerators and a low-flow shower head to help you save energy and water. 

Is your teen looking to give back to the community? Youth Empowerment Service Day will be held at the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House on November 17 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. where teens grades 6-12 can create care packages, cards, and paracord bracelets for our active military! Guest speaker Todd Frazier will also join us to deliver an inspirational message to empower and encourage those in attendance.
