Goodbye to Supt. Dr. Alex Cherniss
Opinion
________________________
In the hiring of Dr. Cherniss, the Beverly Hills Unified School District will now launch its own versions of our district's OCSCS and USI . Both programs began at PYLUSD under the leadership of Dr. Cherniss and the 2023-24 majority grassroots school board (Todd Frazier, Leandra Blades, Shawn Youngblood). OCSCS and USI are now being financially starved by the 2025 union-back majority school board, Carrie Buck, Marilyn Anderson, Tricia Quintero.

Harassment, Lies and Wasted Tax Dollars
Opinion
____________________
Parents in the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) have allowed the CTA, Quintero, Anderson, and Buck to force out—through harassment, lies, and wasted tax dollars—the best principal and superintendent in the country. Declining enrollment and misused funds will soon lead to significant job losses in PYLUSD. Meanwhile, Beverly Hills Unified School District (BHUSD) is poised to launch its own versions of OCSCS and USI, programs that were major draws for Dr. Alex Cherniss, who chose BHUSD’s contract over multiple offers from other school districts across the state and country. As PYLUSD falters, BHUSD will thrive, much like PYLUSD was beginning to do until Quintero, Anderson, and Buck undermined parents and the education/health of our children.
The good news is that my wife and I have a lot of connections to Beverly Hills and we will do every thing we can to insure the success of Dr Alex Cherniss (and hopefully Dr Gates)… we are already connecting him to many influenctial and successful community members! I cannot wait to see the growth of the kids and their families in BHUSD.
Unfortunately, PYLUSD is a sinking ship and you only have the acting superintendent and his scandals, Quintero and her incompetence, Anderson and her hateful and moronic ways, and Buck’s immoral and corrupt ways to blame. Not mention the lack of parent involvement. That is the saddest part. Many of us tried to warn you of this doom. But here we are.

Sadly for us, the Beverly Hills Unified School District has announced that they have named Dr. Alex Cherniss as their new Superintendent.
The duplicitous, deceitful, destructive, and flat out disgusting union backed triumvirate of Marilyn Anderson, Carrie Buck and Tricia Quintero, have struck again and done irreparable harm to this district. It has now resulted in the loss of one of the most talented and innovative Superintendents, namely Dr Alex Cherniss, this district has ever had the privilege of being led by.
Who can blame him for leaving? The union (APEL, led by our own Randi Weingarten wannabe, Linda Manion) and these three trustees are decimating this district before our eyes. This community needs to rise up and get VERY involved immediately before we have no district left to fight for. Our kids deserve SO much better! Here is a
YouTube video message posted by Dr Cherniss, today. Best of luck to you, sir and much continued success! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SyXC9OXntY

So we have BIG IMPRESSIVE Beverly Hills district who WANTS Dr Cherniss. Ivy League intelligent people with big bucks just hired our superintendent. BUT THEN
There is our suburban middle income, middle management, low score PYL new board members (Union puppets) who drove him out of town.
Easy to see who is the dummy. It’s the new board who’s taking their cues from CTA Sacramento. They don’t care about us and they don’t care about our district and they definitely don’t care about our kids. But they are gleeful as they chokehold the life from our schools.

The Loss of an Amazing Leader
Opinion
____________________
I want to congratulate Dr. Alex Cherniss on his recent appointment to Beverly Hills Unified School District. His innovative ideas and programs will certainly be welcomed there. Beverly Hills is gaining a strong Superintendent, an innovator, and a great educator.
It’s a shame that teachers union backed Marilyn Anderson, Carrie Buck and Tricia Quintero have spent hundreds of thousands of YOUR tax dollars and broken PYLUSD board bylaws to fulfill campaign promises of “investigations” and nonsense. Harassment and chaos have taken over our district. The manner which Dr. Cherniss and Gates have been treated is disgusting and has led to the promise of massive lawsuits against Anderson, Buck and Quintero which has the potential to bankrupt our district. It’s apparent these board members lack credibility in the education world as Dr. Cherniss has remained highly sought after. I’m so glad he can bring innovation and opportunity to students and educators in another district.
Dr. Cherniss is ALL about the students. Our school district has lost an amazing leader and Superintendent. I look forward to seeing Beverly Hills USD become a beacon of innovation and opportunity.

This district since the takeover by Buck, Quintero and Anderson has stopped the progress and we are back to 1992 education standards. We have 80 year olds running our district now because that’s who run Buck, Quintero and Anderson. Linda Manion, Sam Myovich, David Radleuar and others who come with their walkers and provide scripts to board members and the union minions for public comment. Linda Manion the APLE president who consistently lies to her members to get them to hate Cherniss and conservative board members. It’s disgusting.
I wonder what old white guy who will follow union orders they’ll put in there next.
It’s disgusting that the board majority is about making union retirees happy, not about children and their education.

Opinion

An Orange County judge has rejected a Democrat effort to block the City of Huntington Beach from a local voter-passed referendum for voter ID.
A Little History
In October 2023, the Huntington Beach Conservative Majority Council voted to place a measure on the March 2024 ballot, known as Measure A. The Measure sought voter approval to revise the city’s election processes. The text of Measure A allowed the city the right to require identification at polling places to determine voter eligibility. Huntington Beach voters approved the measure, 53% to 47%.
In 2024, Newsom signed a statewide ban on voter ID in response to Measure A.
Public Servants Willing to Stand Up
The Huntington Beach Conservative Majority Council majority has a history of fighting left-wing policies including coronavirus restrictions, amnesty for illegals and state-mandated “affordable” housing which costs taxpayers an estimated $1 million per unit.
Legal Battles
Orange County Superior Court Judge Nico Dourbetas agreed, stating that “there is no showing that a voter identification requirement compromises the integrity of a municipal election.”
Hoping the Strike Down Measure A
Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a statement saying, “Now that we have a final order from the Orange County Superior Court, we look forward to moving on and appealing the decision. We remain confident that Measure A will ultimately be struck down.”
The case will now proceed through the state appellate system. The left-wing California Supreme Court is expected to side again the city which could move the issue to a U.S. Supreme Court appeal.

Trustee Leandra Blades was denied a request to place the issue of men in women's sports on the April 8 meeting agenda, violating the public's right to be heard. Denial was made by the acting superintendent Allan Mucerino and the union-supported school board (Marilyn Anderson, Carrie Buck and Tricia Quintero), stating that the agenda was "too full".
The meeting room on Tuesday was full with many supporters of President Trump's Executive Order, Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports. At the meeting, some attendees handed out "rainbow pins". The Facebook PYLBuzz, where membership is said to consist of union members, stated that "Leandra brought the circus to the board meeting."
Reportedly, acting Supt. Mucerino and the union-backed majority school board will find time to address the issue at the May 6 meeting.

Where does Tijuana’s sewage go? It depends on where you live in the city:
-Eastern Tijuana: Sewage goes untreated straight into the Tijuana River, then flows into the U.S. and out to the Pacific.
-Central Tijuana: Sent to a treatment plant — but the system is overwhelmed. And for the next 8 days, Mexico is bypassing the plant entirely and dumping directly into the ocean.
-Western Tijuana: Sewage flows untreated right into the Pacific Ocean.
This is why we’ve had beaches closed for over 1,000 days and why our Navy SEALs are getting sick. This is not just an environmental disaster — it’s a national security crisis. The solution starts with accountability. Mexico must treat its sewage, not dump it on us.

Can Taxpayers Afford the Teachers Union?
The continued wasting of taxpayer dollars
that robs our kids.
Opinion
We saw a lot of union funded signs in the 2024 election that said" Save the Schools". Below is a list of costs incurred
by the union that appear to be contradictory to that slogan.
___________________________
Cost of investigator: $530 per hour, $21,000 per week, $85,000 per month. The cost to taxpayers of an union-backed investigation of Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Issiac Gates remain on administrative leave.
Estimated cost could be $340,000.
Estimated Costs for Administrative Leave for a total of 7- In December, seven administrators were paid to stay home. In December and January 2024, the union-backed majority school board led by President Marilyn Anderson placed seven administrators. At a special meeting of the PYLUSD school board on Thursday, January 24, five administrators were approved to return to work. Dr. Cherniss and Dr. Gates are still sitting at home.
Resignation of Dr. Gates, Head of the Charter School.
Cost to our kids, our district, or reputation, unknown.
Costs to be Determined- Jon Matson, was placed on administrative leave in November due to admitted sign theft in the 2024 election. Matson has an attorney, believed to be paid for by the union, and the matter has been forwarded to the District Attorney. Union member costing the district money.
20% More for an Additional Attorney- In December 2024 the union-backed majority school board, led by President Marilyn Anderson, hired an additional attorney who is said to favor the union. There are additional future unknown costs with this attorney. Union- Not saving money. Union- Spending money.
$3,000,000 - Linda Manion, APLE Union President, doing union-only business and not teaching since 2004. Her contract required that she be in the classroom 50% of the time, which she was not. Average cost per year $150,000.
Union- Costing taxpayers millions while depriving our kids.
$5000 on frivolous legal maneuvers. On Monday, November 19, 2024, a judge denied an attempt by a retired union member, and the members of the Anderson, Janssen, Quintero campaign team, who attempted to file a temporary restraining order preventing a school board action to change the terms of Dr. Cherniss's contract. The judge stated that it was an attempt by a group to stop a vote by duly elected officials.
Union- Costing taxpayers
Costs to be Determined- Union-backed Marilyn Anderson contacted the following agencies to try to slow down, or stop, the Universal Sports Institute: the Division of State Architecture, the AQMD and a bird sanctuary. Legal fees incurred by the union shenanigans cost the district and taxpayers thousands of dollars. USI was paid for by City Building Fee, a state grant and Average Daily Attendance.

Update on reported sign theft by union-supported PYLUSD teacher,
Jon Matson, on administrative leave
Opinion

Update 01-10-2025- The District Attorney has contacted the Yorba Linda Taxpayers Association to say that a case # has been assinged and is moving forward. Matson has an attorney and it is unknown how his legal fees are being paid.
__________________________________
According to Costa Mesa Police, Matson admitted that he took the Yorba Linda Taxpayer Association (YLTA) sign in Fullerton on the morning of November 2. Matson has reportedly been on administrative leave since November 4, 2024 and YLTA is pressing charges.
The sign was posted on Saturday at 6am in an area where prior YLTA signs had been repeatedly stolen. The location was just blocks from school board member and 2024 candidate, Marilyn Anderson's home. By 7:45am, the sign was already en route to Costa Mesa.
Questions continue: How did Matson, who lives in Costa Mesa, know the sign had been posted? Why did Matson just happen to be in Fullerton so early on a Saturday morning? Why would a PYLUSD teacher get involved in reported sign theft? Did Marilyn Anderson contact Matson to say that another YLTA sign had been posted?
Costa Mesa Police found that the sign had been cut up but still had the AirTag attached.

How to Remove Skunk Smells-Opinion
From a post on Facebook
________________________________
The best way we’ve found to remove the smell of skunk is:
1 bottle hydrogen peroxide,
1 tablespoon dish soap
1/4 cup baking soda
Sponge
Put first two in bowl, have the stinky one ready in sink and just before you sponge the mixture on add baking soda. Be VERY careful not to get it in nose or eyes. Massage through hair. Let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing. Use your regular soap, rinse, dry. You literally can let them sleep on your bed after with no issues.
