Public Safety Ignored
Time for us parent’s to pull our daughters from this joke of a school district! These 3 cowards (Carrie Buck, Marilyn Anderson, Tricia Quintero) voted against real women which will cause more harm than good. They want to allow dudes to compete against our daughters.
How far we have fallen!
This is beyond insane, unfair and potentially illegal. We need to pull our kids and take legal action.
If you want your daughters to have a future in sports and be safe, that won’t happen here!
Quotes from Buck, Anderson, Quintero
Here are some more direct quotes from these deranged women who don’t support our girls:
It isn’t fair to put this blanket over the whole board to say we all feel this way.
- Tricia Qunitero
Transgender students are the most marginalized groups. They have the highest suicide rates…and I’m going to err on the side of kindness.
- Marilyn Anderson
We can support women in different ways without hurting other students.
- Marilyn Anderson
Let’s just try to be kind.
- Marilyn Anderson (except if that means being kind to female athletes)

Editor's Note
Carrie Buck read her own prepared resolution that had not been agendized or shared with the public 72 hours in advance as required by law. In short, Buck's resolution stated that men should be allowed in women's sports which did not constitute a change. Had Buck's resolution been adopted, it would have been a violation of The Brown Act.
Is Buck not aware of the Brown Act or has the majority school board gotten comfortable handling matters as they see fit in order to achieve their own agenda?
When did the school board last have Ethics Training?

Tragic loss in the rescue community :
Devastating news: Father and son, and animal rescue pilots Matthew and Paul Berkovitz, were killed in a small plane crash in Southern California.
Their beloved dog, Brody, who regularly traveled with them on rescue missions was in the cockpit with them and has also died.
Paul and Matthew were volunteers for Pilots N Paws, helping rescue animals across the USA. They’ve helped save countless animals from euthanasia and were huge animal lovers.
Our sincerest condolences to their family and friends on their tremendous loss.

Sadly, 6.3 million companion animals enter animal shelters each year. About 36% of them have to be euthanized due to overpopulation.

The Chevron Doctrine
In February of 1984, a case was argued by the Supreme Court, called The Chevron Doctrine. During arguments, Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council allowed federal courts to defer to federal agencies to interpret ambiguous statutes.
Chevron Doctrine, Changed Interpretation
The Chevron Doctrine was interpreted by the Supreme Court in June of 2024, which stated that federal agencies (bureaucrats) no longer were allowed to interpret vague laws. However, it only applied to federal agencies, not the states.
New Regulatory Proposal
A new proposal by the Trump administration continues the transition of the Chevron Doctrine. It seeks to rescind the regulatory definition of "harm" and "take", preventing its abuse by states such as California.
Convenient Definitions, Impacted by All
California tends to use its own definitions regarding the ruling by connecting issues to the Endangered Species Act (ESA). For example, “harm” can be used to deny such things as allowing 4WD vehicles on some roads, construction on land, the use of a tractor, removal of a tree, etc. It can greatly limit the amount of water for families and farmers. And, it can prevent logging and thinning of our overgrown forests, which can lead to massive California wildfires. All of this impacts every single Californian.
Commenting on Your Future
You can voice your opinion while the comment period is open. The result will decide if California keeps or rescinds its regulatory interpretations. A sample letter is listed below.
https://www.regulations.gov/comm.../FWS-HQ-ES-2025-0034-0001
Sample Letter: I urge you to (rescind or keep) the regulatory definition of "harm" in our Endangered Species Act, for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the National Marine Fisheries Service, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Sincerely,
Your name

May 2, 2025- I am at a Turning Point event in San Diego today and tomorrow. They just had a panel with Riley Gaines and another woman who spoke about males in women’s sports. I asked the question about how can we keep males out of women sports in a school board that wants to have men in women’s sports.
Riley said to speak up, which is what has happened from what I’ve seen on your emails.
They also said to:
*Get Turning Point USA involved. I was told that Turning Point has a chapter at Yorba Linda High.
*Video tape what you can to get social media publicity. They said that has made a real difference.

What Myovich did not tell the public is that a financially irresponsible union-backed school board borrowed $48.5 million with a total repayment of $439.2 million. He did not say that the bonds are now illegal, cannot be re-financed or paid off early, and have a 38 year maturity. Beginning in 2042, the bonds must be paid back in just 8 years with an average of over $35 million per year.

Administrative Leave
In search of a problem.
Deputy Superintendent Dr. Issaic Gates
On Administrative Leave since December 20, 2024.

Can Taxpayers Afford the Teachers Union?
The continued wasting of taxpayer dollars
that robs our kids.
Opinion
We saw a lot of union funded signs in the 2024 election that said" Save the Schools". Below is a list of costs incurred
by the union that appear to be contradictory to that slogan.
___________________________
Cost of investigator: $530 per hour, $21,000 per week, $85,000 per month. The cost to taxpayers of an union-backed investigation of Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Issiac Gates remain on administrative leave.
Estimated cost could be $340,000.
Estimated Costs for Administrative Leave for a total of 7- In December, seven administrators were paid to stay home. In December and January 2024, the union-backed majority school board led by President Marilyn Anderson placed seven administrators. At a special meeting of the PYLUSD school board on Thursday, January 24, five administrators were approved to return to work. Dr. Cherniss and Dr. Gates are still sitting at home.
Resignation of Dr. Gates, Head of the Charter School.
Cost to our kids, our district, or reputation, unknown.
Costs to be Determined- Jon Matson, was placed on administrative leave in November due to admitted sign theft in the 2024 election. Matson has an attorney, believed to be paid for by the union, and the matter has been forwarded to the District Attorney. Union member costing the district money.
20% More for an Additional Attorney- In December 2024 the union-backed majority school board, led by President Marilyn Anderson, hired an additional attorney who is said to favor the union. There are additional future unknown costs with this attorney. Union- Not saving money. Union- Spending money.
$3,000,000 - Linda Manion, APLE Union President, doing union-only business and not teaching since 2004. Her contract required that she be in the classroom 50% of the time, which she was not. Average cost per year $150,000.
Union- Costing taxpayers millions while depriving our kids.
$5000 on frivolous legal maneuvers. On Monday, November 19, 2024, a judge denied an attempt by a retired union member, and the members of the Anderson, Janssen, Quintero campaign team, who attempted to file a temporary restraining order preventing a school board action to change the terms of Dr. Cherniss's contract. The judge stated that it was an attempt by a group to stop a vote by duly elected officials.
Union- Costing taxpayers
Costs to be Determined- Union-backed Marilyn Anderson contacted the following agencies to try to slow down, or stop, the Universal Sports Institute: the Division of State Architecture, the AQMD and a bird sanctuary. Legal fees incurred by the union shenanigans cost the district and taxpayers thousands of dollars. USI was paid for by City Building Fee, a state grant and Average Daily Attendance.

Update on reported sign theft by union-supported PYLUSD teacher,
Jon Matson, on administrative leave

Update 01-10-2025- The District Attorney has contacted the Yorba Linda Taxpayers Association to say that a case # has been assinged and is moving forward. Matson has an attorney and it is unknown how his legal fees are being paid.
__________________________________
According to Costa Mesa Police, Matson admitted that he took the Yorba Linda Taxpayer Association (YLTA) sign in Fullerton on the morning of November 2. Matson has reportedly been on administrative leave since November 4, 2024 and YLTA is pressing charges.
The sign was posted on Saturday at 6am in an area where prior YLTA signs had been repeatedly stolen. The location was just blocks from school board member and 2024 candidate, Marilyn Anderson's home. By 7:45am, the sign was already en route to Costa Mesa.
Questions continue: How did Matson, who lives in Costa Mesa, know the sign had been posted? Why did Matson just happen to be in Fullerton so early on a Saturday morning? Why would a PYLUSD teacher get involved in reported sign theft? Did Marilyn Anderson contact Matson to say that another YLTA sign had been posted?
Costa Mesa Police found that the sign had been cut up but still had the AirTag attached.

How to Remove Skunk Smells-Opinion
From a post on Facebook
________________________________
The best way we’ve found to remove the smell of skunk is:
1 bottle hydrogen peroxide,
1 tablespoon dish soap
1/4 cup baking soda
Sponge
Put first two in bowl, have the stinky one ready in sink and just before you sponge the mixture on add baking soda. Be VERY careful not to get it in nose or eyes. Massage through hair. Let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing. Use your regular soap, rinse, dry. You literally can let them sleep on your bed after with no issues.
