Bonnie Conte Update
Admitted Illegal Sign Stealing Caper
Opinion
Removed signs are pictured.
| | |
Bonnie stated that the signs were illegally placed on Rose Drive school property. Jon Hansen YLTA President disputed that claim, stating that he placed the signs himself!
Bonnie is not a teacher and has no known authority to represent the school district. A political activist who represents the views of the left-wing PYLUDS school board, Bonnie reportedly works for a local real estate company.
| | |
Since illegally removing the signs from Rose Drive on Sunday, October 4, Bonnie has not contacted YLTA to return the signs or pay for them.
Hansen stated that the cost per sign is $5.00 and that money can be mailed to:

Consideration for Voting Early
Perspective from Carl DeMaio
Opinion
_______________________________
Only Way to Track & Fix
By voting early (by October 15 at latest) you give enough time for your ballot to be received and counted. If you vote early, you can use the mail or a drop box with confidence. Then track your ballot to ensure the ballot is counted by October 25. If not, you now have a full week left to get a second ballot at a polling center. If you vote close to Election Day and your ballot gets lost, you won't have time to fix the problem!
Ballot Tracker
Vote by Mail Info
Helps Your Candidates Win
Did you know that the candidates you support will save money for their campaigns if you vote early? That's because campaigns remove voters who vote early from mail, text, door knocks, etc. Heck, vote early just for the peace and quiet you get when you get removed from campaign ad lists!
Rejected Ballots- 2024
In the last election (2024) more than 300,000 ballots were rejected for signature mismatches – and 123,000 ballots were discarded. The data shows a higher rate of rejections of Republican ballots than Democrat ballots!
Vote Late- Ballot Counted Last
Voting late on or within 4 days of Election Day means your ballot is counted LAST – and if there’s a problem, you may not know about it until it is too late to fix it
"Two-thirds of Democrat voters cast ballots by mail early; while two-thirds of Republican voters cast ballots at the polls in person."

High Density Property Sold
| | |
City Ventures has sold the previously approved high-density affordable housing property at 19081 Yorba Linda Blvd to another homebuilder. The entitlements are in place, and the city will honor the conditions of approval.
Despite numerous resident concerns, the City Council approved the project on March 3, 2026, in a 4-1 vote.
Voting to Approve: Carlos Rodriguez, Janice Lim, Tara Campbell and Peggy Huang. Shivinder Singh voted NO.
It is not unusual for a developer to sell a project, once it is approved.

Heritage Crossings
Yorba Linda Blvd at Prospect
Approved and Sold- 2013
Opinion
| | |
This project was hotly contested by the public.
It was approved in a 3-2 vote by Planning Commissioners Robert Pease, Karalee Watson and Bob Lyons. Jim Wohlt and James Nebel voted NO. Robert Please is currently running for City Council.
Wohlt and Nebel were immediately removed from the Planning Commission by the new majority Council, Gene Hernandez, Tom Lindsey and Craig Young. The same three approved the project at the Council level. Voting NO were John Anderson and Mark Schwing.
Province received the entitlements for the property and sold it to D.R. Horton.
It is considered by many to be Yorba Linda's greatest building mistake.

Here is the breakdown, yes, I posted after a teacher alerted me these signs had been placed around Rose Drive Elementary, I posted to YL moms, a page of over 6500 members, i obviously had nothing to hide.
Someone took the screen shot and Leandra Blades and her friend Koreen Meadows spun up a typical diabolical story of lies and posted on a variety of social media pages, it’s the ongoing harassment and intimidation they are so well known for (people wonder why we want them away from our schools). Even old timer Nancy Rikel is in on the libel in her “newsletter”.
I feel bad for these people and I feel bad for anyone who supports their hateful demonic behavior.
Screen shot for the facts, and YES, it is in fact illegal to post campaign signs on school grounds which was what the original post was about.

Understanding Free Speech
Anyone can post a sign. Removing a sign is against the law.

Bonnie Conte, Political Activist
Understanding Freedom of Speech
Opinion
_______________
In the past few days, the Yorba Linda Taxpayers Association (YLTA), a political action committee (PAC), posted three different black, white and red political signs.
Political activist,Bonnie Conte was outraged by the YLTA signs and posted comments on Facebook pages, Yorba Linda Moms and Yorba Linda Buzz. She said that she was going to "pick them up...an embarrassment ..a terrible example for the kids".
Note to Conte: Removing signs and preventing freedom of speech, is illegal. Anyone can post a sign, provided they follow California law and city ordinances.
| | |
California Law: You can spend your own money independently to support or oppose a candidate. You can buy signs, publish your own campaign mailer, produce an advertisement, post an ad online, etc. California's spending threshold is: $1,000 in a calendar year. At $1,000 or more in independent expenditures, you generally become an independent expenditure committee and have reporting obligations.
In summary: If an individual spends less than $1000, he or she does not need to meet any California regulation. The sign does not need identification such as a Fair Political Action Committee Number or a PAC #, which YLTA has. A city may require that a name and telephone number be included on the sign. Either way, the public does not have permission to remove a sign.
If you choose to remove a sign(s), as Conte reportedly did, charges may be filed against you and you may go to court.

Janice Lim 2026 Ballot Statement
JANICE LIM City Councilmember/Businesswoman Serving as your Mayor (2025) and Yorba Linda Councilmember, I have worked to preserve the hometown values that make our city the 5th safest city in California. On the City Council, I have prioritized public safety, fiscal responsibility and protecting our quality of life. Together, we have: Balanced every city budget while protecting reserves Maintained the City's prestigious AAA credit rating Opposed high-density housing projects Invested in roads, parks, and infrastructure Expanded public safety staff and invested in fire detection technology. Added two new Heli-Hydrants for fire response. I have partnered with the Sheriff’s Department to promote Scam Stopper programs for our seniors, continued my commitment to Love Yorba Linda, the city’s largest community service day, and served on the Placentia Navigation Center Board, achieving more than a threefold increase in successful housing outcomes. If re-elected, I will continue to use my professional background in business and finance to advocate for our city and fight the unfunded mandates coming out of Sacramento. I will fight to preserve Yorba Linda’s unique character, for my children as well as yours, to protect our neighborhoods and ensure local residents—not state politicians—shape our community's future. I respectfully ask for your vote for re-election to the Yorba Linda City Council.

by Patricia Hanzo, Fullerton resident, who supports Carrie Buck
and Barb Buckley for school board
Opinion

Meet Patricia Hanzo
Democrat Party advocate and a prominent member of the Carrie Buck and Barb Buckley campaign team.
Hanzo, Unfounded Accusations
This morning, she sent an email to Todd Frazier, along with the PYLUSD Superintendent and Yorba Linda Police Captain accusing Todd Frazier and myself of stealing Barb Buckley campaign signs. She also brought Todd’s children and mine into the emails. But this isn’t new for Patricia Hanzo. She has sunk even lower before. First responders, take note.
Note: No evidence has been provided regarding this sign theft.
Hanzo Asks for FBI Investigation
My husband is a Fire Captain. Patricia Hanzo sent an email to my husband’s place of employment including his Fire Chief, the Police Chief, the entire City Council, and the City Manager. Patricia Hanzo asked them to investigate my husband for being a “Christian Natiionalist, Proud Boy, White Supremacist” etc. Patricia asked that while they were looking into my husband, that they also investigate other police officers and firefighters as well. She then asked that my husband be turned over to the FBI. Patricia Hanzo went after my husband’s career because she doesn’t like my politics or position as an elected official.
Buck Advocate- Extremist Christian Nationalist Accusation
(She has made) .. it clear that any conservative or Republican is a MAGA extremist, Christian nationalist etc.
This is the behavior Barb Buckley and Carrie Buck believe is acceptable. This is who campaigns for them and knocks on your doors.
Leandra Blades- Continually Harrassed
My children, husband, extended family and others have been harassed since 2020 by this campaign team, yet Buckley and Buck keep Hanzo as a key member of their team.
Stop Lying
Again, Barb Buckley, we are not touching your signs. We do not waste our time or energy around your signs. We ask that you stop lying to the community and tell your hateful campaign team to stop harassing us and our families.

Barb Buckley (school board candidate in Zone 4, running against Todd Frazier) is telling the community that school board members need to do what Sacramento tells them to do.
Sacramento democrats and the teacher’s union were telling educators and school districts that it was against the law to tell parents information about their children in school such as name changes, gender changes, and other personal information. That made zero sense to me and low and behold, I couldn’t find this so-called law anywhere. I was told a parental notification policy was against the law. I couldn’t find that anywhere either.
Todd Frazier, Shawn Youngbloood and I pushed back and found out the Democrat party and teacher’s union were telling people it was the law when it was simply a recommendation or a suggestion. Had we simply followed Sacramento, we would not have a parental notification policy in our district.
If you all recall, Todd Frazier, Shawn Youngblood and myself voted YES for the parental notification policy…Marilyn Anderson and Carrie Buck (candidate in Area 5, running against Justin Aguirre) voted against the policy.
Everyone should remember Todd Frazier and I voted to keep men out of women’s sports and spaces…Carrie Buck, Tricia Quintero and Marilyn Anderson voted to support men in women’s sports and spaces. (PYLUSD is currently under federal investigation regarding possible Title IX violations.)

A heads up to voters in Yorba Linda and Placentia.
Reasons for Endorsement
The California Teachers Association/Association of Placentia Linda Educators have endorsed Carrie Buck and Barb Buckley for Placentia-Yorba Linda School Board. Why? Because Carrie Buck and Barb Buckley stand for men in women’s sports and spaces, critical race theory, DEI, keeping secrets from parents, bonds and higher taxes.
Supporting Boys in Girls' Sports
Both Barbara Buckley and Carrie Buck supported my opponent, Misty Janssen, in 2020 and 2024. Janssen supported the same left wing ideologies as do Buck and Buckley. We all remember Janssen’s wild speech supporting the transgender male athlete competing against our female athletes. That’s what these women support and stand for.
The teachers union has donated 10,000 dollars to Barb Buckley for signs and 10,000 dollars to Carrie Buck for signs. The receipts are below.

Carrie Buck Surprising Support
Carrie Buck has recently made public her support of a local podcast and author who defames white people, conservatives and Christians. Carrie Buck has the support of Pride at the Pier (look up their social media page).

Support for Placentia City Council Candidate
Barb Buckley, Carrie Buck and PYLUSD Trustee Marilyn Anderson are supporting Julie Suchard for Placentia City Council. Suchard’s comments at school board meetings and Placentia City Council meetings are widely known for her mistruths and colorful comments. Her hate and distaste for conservatives and Christians are on full display in conversations and on social media.
Carrie Buck, HIS House, Use of Taxpayer Funds
Barb Buckley, Carrie Buck and Julie Suchard were on His House-OC together…yes, the same organization Carrie Buck recently parted ways with. The same His House-OC Carrie Buck was using school district resources to print materials for…your tax dollars at work.
Know Who You Are Voting For
These three women appear to all be working together to get each other elected so they can bring more leftist policies to Yorba Linda and Placentia. Now it’s more important than ever to know who you are voting for.

Your Massive Taxpayer Bond Debt
Understanding the now illegal bonds
Opinion
______________________
In 2009 the board borrowed $26.5 million by issuing Capital Appreciation Bonds – The total payments required to pay off the debt is $157.2 million. This is disgusting and is about 400% higher in payment than what it should be.
That being said – Carrie Buck and the other board members in 2011 took it to a whole new level –
13 Times Money Borrowed
They borrowed $22 million by issuing Capital Appreciation Bonds – The total payments required to pay off the debt is $282 million. So, in 2011 they borrowed $4.5 million less, but the required payments are $125 million higher. The amount that the taxpayers are paying is 13 times more money than what was borrowed. This is the height of insanity!!!
Even if during the 40-year period the district is able to collect and pay off the bonds (Which is still very much in question.) – Carrie Buck has never answered the following questions:
Assuming the projections and collected property taxes are sufficient, one still must ask these very salient questions:
Why did Carrie Buck and her fellow board members take on bond debt at an interest rate of 7.8% when at that time the going municipal bond rate was 5.25%?
Restrictive Repayment Terms
1- Why did Carrie Buck and her fellow board members agree to such restrictive repayment terms to agree that the bonds would be non-negotiable or callable? Imagine how much better this situation would be if our debt was accruing interest at 2.25% instead of 7.8%. If the bonds could be called and paid off early in 2021 by issuing new bonds, the municipal bond interest rate was 2.25%. We could have issued new bonds at 2.25% and paid off the bonds that they issued in 2009 & 2011 at a 7.8% interest rate. Doing so, would have saved the district about $265 million in interest expense for the remainder of the loans.
| | |
We Paid Almost Double Commission
2- The bond underwriting company (George K Baum & Company) was paid an underwriting commission rate of 1.3% for each of the bonds that were issued. The average bond underwriting commission at that time was .7%. In other words, we paid almost double the commission rate. Why did Carrie Buck and her fellow board members agree to pay such an exorbitant commission rate?
Taxpayers Left Holding the Bag
It seems that at every turn, Carrie Buck and her fellow board members failed to take into consideration the financial impact on the district taxpayers. In the end, it is the taxpayers who have been left holding the bag with exorbitant debt that hangs over our collective heads for 40 years. Between the two bonds, we received $48.5 million, and we will pay back a total of $439.2 million.
$200 Million More
Carrie Buck makes the statement that the voters authorized the issuance of the bonds. That may be true, but Buck and her follow board members had the fiduciary responsibility to act in good faith and represent the taxpayers of the district. She failed miserably as we are paying over $200 million more in interest payments than what an educated and honest board would have agreed to.
However this money gets paid, it is all paid by the taxpayers.

How to Remove Skunk Smells-Opinion
From a post on Facebook
________________________________
The best way we’ve found to remove the smell of skunk is:
1 bottle hydrogen peroxide,
1 tablespoon dish soap
1/4 cup baking soda
Sponge
Put first two in bowl, have the stinky one ready in sink and just before you sponge the mixture on add baking soda. Be VERY careful not to get it in nose or eyes. Massage through hair. Let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing. Use your regular soap, rinse, dry. You literally can let them sleep on your bed after with no issues.
