September 9,  2014, The Buy Out of Yorba Linda
For the third time this year, the Opposition to the Recall is conducting a survey of Yorba Linda residents. The cost of such a survey is $10,000-$20,000.  Who is paying for the survey?

The Buy Out of Yorba Linda

Developers and Developer Political Action Committees are

Trying to Stop the Recall in What Is the Real Power Grab

of the Yorba Linda City Council.

________________________

Many outside special interest groups have gone on record in opposition to the Recall.  Several of these groups have spent tens of thousands of dollars to urge you to vote No.  Why would these groups care about the Yorba Linda Recall? Follow the money.

The Southern California Coalition of Businesses and Taxpayers has sent several mailers in support of Tom Lindsey and Craig Young and in opposition to the Recall.  When you look at the contributions to this Political Action Committee (PAC), you see developers who have pending high density projects in Yorba Linda.

Prospect Place and CV Urban Land share the same address in Newport Beach.  They contributed a total of $18,000. They have a project pending approval at Imperial/Mariah Court and Prospect in Yorba Linda.

El Yorba Linda (aka Etco Homes) contributed $13,000.  They are the developer who is proposing the 159 unit, 4 story apartment complex adjacent to the Yorba Linda Lakebed, at Mariposa and Lakeview.

Now, it makes total sense that this PAC would send out glossy, slick mailers full of lies, accusations, and red herrings to confuse and convince you that this Recall is not about high density.  Developers stand to lose millions if the Recall of Tom Lindsey and Craig Young is successful and Nancy Rikel and Jeff Decker are elected.  This recall is ALL about stopping high-density.  Vote YES.

Here is the proof of these contributions:

In the next edition of e-News, we will look at one of the many other PACs that are trying to buy Yorba Linda and buy your vote.

The man discussed in the video below is Reggie King of Avenal Financial, who gave $15,000 to this same PAC. We don't know yet how he is connected to Yorba Linda development. Below are the other businesses he is connected with. Why would Reggie King donate $15,000 and care about the Yorba Linda recall?
