Renowned illustrator and creator of Kellogg’s® Snap!® Crackle!® Pop!®, Vernon Grant built his reputation on his signature gnomes, jolly Santas and his whimsical approach to illustration.

Along with Grant’s favorite subject, Santa Claus, this year’s ChristmasVille exhibit will feature skiers, snowmen and winter scenes that graced the covers of some of America’s most popular magazines of the times.

Visit our galleries to capture the artistry of Vernon Grant and view his hallmark collection of Santa Claus, gnomes and scenes of the holiday season.

Daniel Nayeri Wins 2025 National Book Award for Young People's Literature

...Author David Bowles, chair of the Young People’s Literature panel, took to the stage to announce the winner of the award...[Daniel] Nayeri, who is also a Printz Award winner and Newbery Honoree, began his remarks by expressing how “distinctly lucky [I am] that there are so many people in this room that I can call friend.”

He then reminisced about his time as an editor in New York a decade ago, where he looked down from his office window at the nearby federal immigration center...

2026 NEA Jazz Masters Announced

Washington, DC—The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Jazz Masters Fellowship is the highest award bestowed by our nation on jazz musicians and advocates. Today, the NEA announced the newest recipients of this honor: Carmen Lundy, Airto Moreira, Patrice Rushen, and A.B. Spellman NEA Jazz Masters Award for Jazz Advocacy recipient Rhonda Hamilton.
