We Need You Desperately by David R. Gelbart
|
The letter R in YTNR stands for rescue. Without rescue we have no purpose and without you we have no means to fulfill that purpose.
There are very few prerequisites you must have to help us. We need your time and your willingness to help us rescue and foster these precious fur-babies.
YTNR provides the rest: the contacts, the support staff, the policies, guidelines, procedures and forms for both rescue and placement.
This is a vast country. Most of the Yorkies who need our help don't live down the block and some may live hours away. (I should have mentioned that a car is probably a requirement.). There is not a state in the union that could not use your help. In states we already have active volunteers we need more.
You may be curious to know what is the hardest part of this job. For me the hardest part is the time I have to part with them to go to their forever home. Each Yorkie is an individual with his/her own personality, own history and unique likes and dislikes-just as we are. I love them all and it is bittersweet satisfaction to see them leave my foster care.
Won't you make a New Years' resolution to help us and actively participate? It is true that we cannot save every Yorkie but every Yorkie we can reach will get us closer to our goal.
To get the process started please go to our web page and fill out an application to volunteer. www.YorkieRescue.com.

Happy Endings

We are pleased to announce that Goldie has been adopted.
She is already settling in with her new sibling, Sire.
Congratulations Goldie, your new life as a pampered pooch has begun!

A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN.
Little Honey & her new mom, Sondra, found one another last night.
These two clicked right away. Honey is on her way to being treated
like royalty and we couldn't be happier for her.
It's going to be a wonderful holiday for both of them.
Thank you for opening your hearts and homes for these
precious rescues and for making their dreams come true!

Ashley Nakashima ~ Forever in our hearts ♥
"It is eerily terrifying that there is no sound when a heart breaks. Car accidents end with a bang, falling ends with a thud, even writing makes the scratching sound of pencil against paper. But the sound of a heart breaking is completely silent. Almost as though no one, not even the universe itself could create a sound for such devastation. Almost as though silence is the only way the universe could pay its respect to the sound of a heart falling apart."
- Nikita Gill, The Sound of Heartbreak

Looking for a Furever Home

THOMAS (fostered in Florida)
Hi! My name is Thomas. I am a six year old boy, eleven pound, tan and silver AKC registered Yorkie who lives with my foster parents, three other yorkies and a toy poodle. I get along well with all my foster siblings. I like playing with toys with my brothers and sisters but overall I am pretty reserved and enjoy quiet time with my foster parents who tell me I'm well mannered. I do have a voice but use it only when I have to. While I
love humans I prefer not being around small children. I was neutered late in my life and occasionally do a little leg lifting in the house but do my main business outside. I come with an assortment of very special YTNR belly bands to use in the house if needed. Can you help me find a forever home? Please fill out an application and put my name THOMAS on it.

GRACIE
(fostered in Indiana)
Hi everyone my name is Gracie, I weigh just around 3 pounds and I am only 3 years old. I am a love bug when I get to know you. I just love to lie in your arms and sleep. My foster mom thinks I am adorable, I think so too. I am looking for an
exceptional person or persons
to adopt me. Whoever you are, you need to be home most of the time. ABSOLUTELY NO SMALL CHILDREN. You see I am very cute but I am a special needs little girl. So the person that adopts me will need to be very patient with me. I really don't know what happened to me, my mobility is not so good. I take medication to help my mobility, it helps but still have trouble, I am also blind. I want to be loved for who and what I am, is that too much to ask? My foster mom loves me. I know because she holds me and makes me feel safe. When I want attention I whine and don't stop until I get what I want. I eat really well, sometimes my foster mom has to hold the food to my nose so I know it's time to eat. I sleep in an ex- pen at night to keep me from getting hurt. I don't mind sleeping in the ex-pen at all. I ride real well in a car, sleep most of the time while in the kennel until we get where we are going. I know you will fall in love with me because I am so adorable, my foster mom has. She has other Yorkies, I don't pay any attention to them, sometimes I bump into them, but they pay me no mind. So if you have other dogs in the house they need to be really mellow. So if a less than perfect Yorkie doesn't bother you and you would like to adopt me and give me the love and home I deserve, please add my name when you fill out an adoption application @ www.yorkierescue.com

RINGING IN THE NEW YEAR
As we say goodbye to 2017, we look forward to a Happy and Prosperous New Year for all. We are so thankful to every one of our supporters and volunteers for all they contribute in helping save, rehabilitate and find homes for our little rescues. We could not do any of this without ALL of YOU.
2018 gives YTNR the opportunity to continue in giving HOPE to our rescued furbabies. Hope is defined in the dictionary as a feeling that what one desires will happen. And with everyone's continued help and support we will achieve that desire, hope for a better future, a permanent loving home.
Wishing everyone a very Happy, Healthy and successful New Year.
May God bless us one and all.
We couldn't do it without you...

Neeko's Joke
|
~
On New Year's Eve, Daniel was in no shape to drive, so he sensibly left his van in the parking lot and walked home. As he was wobbling along, he was stopped by a police officer. 'What are you doing out here at 4 o'clock in the morning?' asked the police officer.
'I'm on my way to a lecture,' answered Daniel.
'And who on earth, in their right mind, is going to give a lecture at this time on New Year's Eve?' inquired the police officer.
'My wife,' mumbled Daniel grimly.
~
Wishing you All a very Happy New Year ♥
Love and Smooches,
Neeko :o)
