Yorkville Educational Foundation
YEF awards $2,800 in grants to D115 schools
Yorkville Educational Foundation (YEF) celebrated American Education Week by awarding eight grants to teachers and staff throughout the district. Since 2017, the Foundation has invested more than $15,000 in District 115’s students and staff.

The fall 2018 grant recipients were: Jennifer Paletta of Yorkville Middle School for Foxes Café, a program that provides experiential learning for life and academic skills students; David Travis and Jeannine Pacetti of Yorkville High School for SAT prep scholarships for economically disadvantaged students; Lisa Snyder of Bristol Bay Elementary School for a quarterly free book program for low income students; Karen Schmidt of Yorkville Grade School for technology for students to improve confidence and performance in large group settings; Brittany Crosby of Circle Center Grade School for technology literacy stations; Alexis Schilling of Grande Reserve Elementary School for flexible seating furniture; and Abby Paulson of Yorkville Intermediate School for a Seesaw Plus Digital Portfolio license.

Support the Yorkville Educational Foundation (YEF) through the purchase of a raffle ticket to win four tickets to see " Dear Evan Hansen," winner of six 2017 Tony Awards including Best Musical and the 2018 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, on opening night, Feb. 12, from the balcony of the Oriental Theater in Chicago! 

Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20 and can be purchased online at The raffle drawing will take place during the December 17 District 115 Board of Education meeting.

Donations generated through the Yorkville Educational Foundation directly benefit District 115 students and staff through a variety of programs, and are tax deductible.
Bilingual Parent Advisory Council
Save the Date: Jan. 25, 2019
The Yorkville CUSD 115 Bilingual Parent Advisory Council (BPAC) will host a movie lock-in night starting at 5:30 p.m. on January 25, 2019 at Autumn Creek Elementary School. Participating students will watch the "Incredibles 2" movie.

Community Fliers
Yorkville CUSD 115 uses a “green” approach to distributing information from non-profit organizations, intergovernmental agencies, and business partners, to which approval is granted. Throughout the year, information is posed on the “ Community Fliers” page of the district website. 
Those wishing to submit information to be posted must do so by emailing a completed Flier Request Form and sending a PDF of the requested posting to Cathy Anderson at , at least 10 days in advance of the desired posting date.
