Annually, hundreds of individuals donate their time and energy to volunteer in Yorkville CUSD 115. Whether volunteer hours are spent at the classroom, school, or district level, these dedicated individuals work tirelessly to support the efforts of staff and help District 115 students excel.

Please consider taking a more active roll in your school district by joining a committee, council, or foundation or by becoming a District 115 business partner through the district's various Involvement and Partnership Opportunities.

If you are unable to commit the time, please actively support the incredible work of these organizations and all they do to enhance your child's educational experiences.

Community Blood Drive: Sept. 27
Yorkville Educational Foundation, in partnership with the Bristol Bay PTO, will host a community blood drive on September 27, from 3-7:30 p.m. in the Yorkville High School Library, 797 Game Farm Road.

Donors age 17 and older will receive a coupon for a free sundae at Grandmas Rosie's, a free shirt, and a pass to Stade's Farmtractions Theme Park!
With someone in the U.S. needing blood every two seconds, donors with all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative and B positive. A single blood donation can save up to three lives. There’s no better feeling than knowing that your blood donation may give someone a second chance at life.

New officers elected; board members sought
A new vice president and treasurer were elected to help lead the Yorkville Educational Foundation (YEF), the nonprofit fundraising partner of Yorkville CUSD 115. Steve Fisher, president of Fisher Consulting, will begin a two-year term as vice president. Doug Williams, vice president at Earthmover Credit Union will serve a two-year term as treasurer.

YEF is seeking candidates to expand the Board to strengthen its impact. Since its inception, the foundation has raised more than $25,000 and has made a profound impact on students and staff through its programming. The all-volunteer Board is comprised of parents, alumni, and business owners invested in the success of the Yorkville community. The Board of Directors seeks people who bring a diverse range of life experience, work, wisdom, and wealth to the organization. While prior Board experience is helpful, it is not a requirement. The YEF Board meets the third Tuesday of the month, at 6 p.m.
