You & Your Clients: Why go to a Wedding Show?

Let's talk about the next time you'll attend a Trade Show .

Like a Wedding Show. To meet exhibitors, or to be one.

Want to do it well? Let me give you a Tip.

But First, Let Me Tell You a Little Story:

Wherever you live, you'll find dozens of Trade Shows.
Where related business gather to promote their services.

Ever been to one? These shows come in all sizes -- from
huge productions at convention centers, to intimate showcases
at small hotels, restaurants, or similar venues.

Personally, I love attending shows that cater to special events
-- like weddings, anniversary parties, and company banquets.

Since the late 1970s, I've visited MANY shows throughout
the San Francisco Bay Area -- from Santa Cruz to Santa Rosa,

from Pacifica to Pleasanton.

Occasionally I'll be an exhibitor, giving guests a taste of what

the band brings to a celebration. Here I'll join caterers, event planners, florists, photographers, and DJs. We all display our stuff and meet people shopping around for our services.

More often, I'll show up to visit my best colleagues and see

the newest trends and which trends are becoming standards.

Over the years the popularity of these shows rises and falls
like the tide, but attending is ALWAYS worthwhile.

I'll be exhibiting January 5, at a wedding show in Santa Clara.

Everyone will tell you planning your wedding or next party, especially the music,

can be TOTALLY confusing. Right?

So before you become overwhelmed, let me help you keep

things under control.

Here's that good tip I mentioned:

In case your wedding or party plans are "on hold" for later,

it's a smart idea to visit a few more shows than just one.

Why?

Because you'll meet so many experienced professionals.

How many did you meet last time? A dozen? More?

Just imagine how difficult planning your celebration

would be if you didn't "shop around" like that.

At these shows you'll meet many of the top professionals
serving local weddings and parties.

You can speak with them, get to know their styles,

and develop some person-to-person "chemistry".

No matter what size show you'll be attending,

these experienced pros can answers your questions

and suggest good ones you haven't considered yet.

What if you want other services, too? Ask the pros to

recommend some of the best they've worked with.

So follow up with all the professionals you meet.

Whatever you want, they're great resources for you.

Let me be one of your resources, too.

A great resource can be a life-saver, you know, especially when you need music for your wedding or your next party.

The holidays and New Year's Eve are just ahead,
