YES, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND INCREDIBLY INCREDIBLE!

Happy Winter and a very fine hallelujah to 2013 too! The Amazing and Incredible Ones are on their way to 2013 in a BIG way! OH YEAH!

For some reason we often take our lil' fabulous selves for granted and forget how amazing we really are. We are more than a collection of breasts, hips, legs, arms, teeth and ears assembled and packaged into somebody's sister, wife, "woman," mother, grandmother, cousin, aunt, employee. God has created and called us to be more and 2013 is an excellent time to go ahead and let God finish the great work that has been begun in us!

I am a real sucker for Undercover Boss, the reality show where company bosses, you guessed it, go undercover to see the "real" folks at work. In every episode they see what could be improved and eventually give nice gifts and vacations to the unsuspecting employees. The thing I love most though is that the bosses actually "see" their employees and hear their stories. One employee told her CEO afterwards "This is the first time anyone's ever said I'm amazing!" Read More

Things to Do

I've learned that making a list helps me get things done. Use mine and add your own...

*   Skip making 2013 resolutions and joining the fitness club-update your 2010 list (it's probably where you left it three years ago when you were inspired to make "changes"), go for a 30-minute walk instead of running errands at lunch and save the gym money for a dream vacation.

*  Do the tough stuff early-bone density test, colonosocopy and mammogram, etc. These screenings could save your life and trust me, the "girls" are hooked on tight and they love the attention!

 *   Buy a shredder and feed it with unwanted sensitive documents and all but one of your credit cards. Make cash queen at your house this year!

More Things To Do...

*   Create an emergency document flee kit-self explanatory-- (think Sandy, Irene, Rita, Katrina, chemical spills, fires, etc.) and put it in a fire/flood proof place.

*   Leave home 18 minutes early this week to avoid being late. I tried 11 because it was cooler than 10 but about 30 minutes evaporated somewhere between home and the airport so I have chosen 18, a bolder, cooler number. Why 18? Privileges my sisters, privileges-voting, high school graduation, no curfew...

Today send a mushy note or card to brighten someone's day. Trust me, when I received a card that said YOU ROCK, I was Mt. Everest. I am still glowing!!!

Vow to make 2013 your best year yet-stress less, get more sleep, take care of you and your money, don't be afraid to fail, make good choices, sow good seeds and use all the power you have.  Remember you're absolutely amazing and incredibly incredible and that's no brag-that's fact! I'm just sayin'
