AIHS continues to monitor the needs of our clients and our community to best adapt our services and offerings for our clients. We have made adjustments to all of our departments to help #FlattenTheCurve and #StopTheSpread. Please see those adjustments below:

  • Aging & Disability Resource Center is expanding its staffing to enhance our response capability to answer questions including COVID-19 specific questions and secure assistance for older adults, individuals with disabilities and family caregivers effective immediately.
  • The Nutrition Program has implemented Community Grab n' Go Meal Distributions for individuals 60 years of age and older. Each program's adjustments are outlined below:
  • Dining in Congregate Settings is suspended indefinitely. Participants are being provided frozen and shelf stable meals.
  • Meals on Wheels/Home-Delivered Meal deliveries will continue as planned and new clients are being added to routes daily. AIHS is enhancing deliveries to include both frozen and shelf-stable meals to ensure optimal nutritional support for home-bound individuals.
  • Restaurant Voucher Program has temporarily lifted the restrictions on take-out meals and are allowing for carryout indefinitely.
  • Options Counseling & Case Management is being provided telephonically to ensure access to qualified benefits and access to needed services continues through this national emergency.
