Save the Date for iFLEX 2018
iFLEX and the International Carwash Association (ICA) will co-locate again for next year's event, April 26-28, 2018 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.  ICA is a nonprofit group representing the retail and supply segments of the professional car wash industry in North America and around the globe.  Last year alone, the show attracted over 8,000 car wash, quick lube and related business professionals.

6 Free Ways to Increase Interaction on Your Facebook Page
As you know by now, there's more to maintaining a business Facebook page than setting it up and hanging up a proverbial "Open" sign.

Much like your business itself, you need to interact with the people that visit it in order to make your Facebook page successful and to  grow your business. It doesn't take much time and it doesn't have to cost a lot of money (although Facebook would probably prefer that you pay them for it).

Here are some simple, free ways to increase engagement on your Facebook page:

Ask Questions.  Questions are a great way to spark dialogue with fans. It is probably the easiest way and one of the best methods to get people to respond to your posts. There are several types you can ask, but steer clear of questions that can be answered with a "yes" or "no." Make sure you reply to the answers and, if you can, offer a gift to the person who answers first - just make them take a screen grab to show it to you when they come into your shop. Also, remember even though this is your business page, you don't have to ask business-related questions.

Claudia St. John: Data Breach Obligations
Q:  With the data breach at Equifax, and the fact that, as employers, we maintain a lot of confidential employee information - such as social security numbers, addresses, age, date of birth and dependent information - what is our obligation to keeping that information safe?

A: Whether your company owns, licenses or merely maintains personal information about your employee (such as name, address, date of birth, SSN, driver's license number, bank account information, etc.), nearly every state has requirements on when and how affected individuals must be notified of a breach, and many states also require notification be made to state attorneys general, consumer protection agencies, national credit bureaus, and perhaps even the media. Employers who suspect personal information about employees may have been compromised should immediately contact legal counsel.

It's also important to note that if you outsource payroll and benefits to a third party such as a PEO or a company like Paychex, their obligation is to notify you, not necessarily your employees, in the event of a data breach. In such cases, you should also contact legal counsel to assess your obligations.
