Historical Tidbit:

The Little Post Office That Grew
The History of our postal system in West Bridgewater began in a building which was once located on the corner of South Main and River Street near what is now Central Square. This dates back to the Civil War days when a butcher wagon at Folsom's Harness Shop was not an uncommon sight. The Post Office subsequently moved to River Street at the turn of the century, then later to 5 West Center Street, and finally in the later 50's to its current location. This last move opened the way for the Home National Bank of Brockton to open its West Bridgewater Office in September of 1958.
