The Point In Time (PIT) count is a nationwide HUD-mandated annual census of all people experiencing homelessness. The PIT count is critical to helping Montgomery County and MCCH identify the number of households experiencing homelessness and their characteristics, the resources needed by clients to move onto to stable housing, and how best to serve our community.
Montgomery County is seeking volunteers to help with this survey in our community. This year's count will begin on Wednesday January 24
th at 9 p.m. and end by 4 a.m. on Thursday January 25
th.
Volunteers will begin the night with training and then go out in teams to designated locations throughout the county, where unsheltered people may be located.
