Disaster Funds Available

A month after Hurricane Helene tore through Western North Carolina, leaving immense devastation, grief, and suffering in its wake, we continue to be a community in recovery mode.

With support from our partners at Dogwood Health Trust, we launched a Hurricane Recovery Grant to respond to immediate needs in the far western counties. In a few short days, we have committed nearly $60,000 to food service, homelessness recovery, and substance abuse organizations, all of which continue to suffer from the storm's lingering impact.

A sincere THANK YOU goes to those who have already donated. You are changing lives, enhancing health, and providing a ray of hope to those who need it most.

With Thanksgiving on the horizon and even more reasons to celebrate with friends and family coming our way, we are constantly amazed by the generosity of our community. When times are especially hard, like after a major natural disaster, or on any average day, when you are called upon to do what's right, you always, without fail, respond with kindness. And for that, we are eternally thankful.

At either session, you will learn firsthand about Crossnore's new initiative, designed to support children and families who are involved with or at risk of involvement with the child welfare system in our region.

We encourage you to join and learn more about this important program and its potential impact on the families and communities we serve.

Lunch will be provided, so please RSVP by December 4 to Angela Bollo at abollo@crossnore.org.
