April 2021
Good news! You now have a little more time to make a donation to the Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation and still get an AZ state tax credit on your 2020 income taxes. In addition to extending the deadline for filing and paying individual state taxes, the state has also set May 17, 2021 as the deadline to contribute to certified qualifying foster care charitable organizations to claim the tax credit on your 2020 individual income tax return.
There are more than 423,000 children and youth in foster care across the country, with nearly 14,000 in the state of Arizona. There are many ways that you can help the Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation bring awareness to the needs of children and youth in foster care here in our state.

  • Follow us on social media (see links at the bottom of this email) and share our posts to your network
  • Share your own story of foster care with us
  • Donate to support life-changing AFFCF programs

No action is too small or too big! No matter how you choose to help children in foster care, AFFCF thanks you!

Making a contribution to Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation is a win-win. You win by earning a credit on your Arizona state taxes. Individuals can contribute up to $500 and joint filers can contribute up to $1,000 and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit on their taxes. Young men and women in our Keys to Success program, like Aaron, win when they are supported in their education and employment goals. You can contribute through May 17, 2021 and count it toward your 2020 taxes.
