Dear Friend in Christ,
Recently, during our Women of Grace® Benedicta Institute for Women®, I was blessed to re-watch the Cabrini movie. I was struck again by her powerful example of the feminine genius in action.
What gave a humble Italian nun with active tuberculosis the strength to found the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart? Where did she get the courage to sail across the ocean to a foreign land where she was unwelcome and even persecuted? What drove her to embrace over fifty thousand Italian immigrants who were dying in the streets, rejected by society? What inspired her to found schools and orphanages for children and eventually establish sixty-seven houses of sisters?
I believe the power behind Mother Cabrini’s mission is the same power behind every world-changing movement: the HOLY SPIRIT!
St. Francis Cabrini was on fire with the divine love of the Holy Spirit. In her magnanimity, she proclaimed that the world was too small for her mission. Why? Because her vision was beyond this world. Her vision was the eternal destiny of SOULS!
Women of Grace is also about a mighty mission powered by the Holy Spirit. It is no less than to transform the world by transforming all of the souls entrusted to our care. Like Mother Cabrini, we see souls EVERY DAY who urgently need Jesus Christ and His Church. Instead of immigrants dying in the streets, we see souls dying for lack of knowledge of the truth and the accompaniment of true friendship.
We are forming and shaping these souls after the examples of St. Francis Cabrini, St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, St. Teresa of Avila, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Gianna Beretta Molla, and most especially, Our Lady, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Because of your prayers and support our studies and programs are pouring the healing balm of God's love and mercy into their wounded hearts.
I know that you, too, desire to see the world changed by the power of the Holy Spirit because you have connected with our mission to transform the world one woman at a time by affirming women in their dignity and vocation as daughters of God and in their gift of authentic femininity through ongoing spiritual formation. This mission springs from the vision of St. John Paul II, which has become our vision, too – “a civilization of love” built on a “culture imbued with the spirit of the Gospel renewed, revitalized, and healed through the love of God.”

“As I began to dig into the study, I began to experience the Lord stirring my inner being. I felt so excited to read the chapters and couldn't wait to answer the questions in the workbook. After four months in the Women of Grace study group, my life has changed. I'm going to daily Mass, adoration and reconciliation.
