Come enjoy great art, food and music while

supporting a great cause, August 15th 5p -8p

We're raising money for the Helen Arts and Heritage Center so we can continue to provide a gallery for local artists, offer instructor lead classes in various mediums, maintain our pottery studio and provide classes for our Veterans. Not to mention our Heritage center with displays of the history of our beautiful alpine village. We even host special events throughout the year featuring families who made Helen what she is today. But we need your help to continue our work!

Join us on August 15th from 5p to 8p at the Helendorf Hotel and Conference Center. We will have a live and silent auction, gorgeous artwork for sale, delicious BBQ provided by the Pink Pig and live music. It will be an evening of fun, festivities and fundraising for a community staple of Helen.

Our August Art Classes

VETERANS ART WORKSHOPS

First Thursday monthly

Free to military veterans and companions.

1. Promote Healing: Art therapy can help veterans process their experiences, reduce stress, and manage symptoms of PTSD and other mental health conditions.

2. Improve Quality of Life: Through creative expression, veterans can improve their mood, self-esteem, and overall well-being.

3. Build Community: Art therapy sessions can foster a sense of community among veterans, reducing feelings of isolation.

4. Enhance Communication: Art can serve as a non-verbal medium for veterans to express thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to articulate.

Being mindful, the specific objectives may vary based on the needs of the veterans you are working with and the goals of your program. It’s always a good idea to tailor your approach to the individuals you are serving.
