You are not alone. We are holding this day together.

Beloveds,

On this day, we begin our resistance again by refusing to go it alone, by holding our longings and visions for justice close together. This is where power lives and grows. In beloved community.

Today our President moves towards an executive order rolling back protections for our trans and gender expansive beloveds today. Meanwhile, our sanctuary and resistance teams is welcoming a trans* beloved from a state with no local protections to cushion the federal blow. We have been collecting items to build her home, funds to pay for her apartment during this transition period and setting up community connections so she can make a flourishing life here.

This team is making real what we prayed on the day after the election: "Blessed are the trans* and non-binary beloveds whose sacred humanity cannot be legislated away."

There is life-saving and life-giving ministry that we need to do now. Please make your pledge for our financial year that starts in July of this year so that we can focus our energies on these ministries the world so desperately needs and not our own sustainability. And join us on Saturday evening for a time to make a joyful noise together with Peter Mayer and JD Stillwater!

In gratitude,

Rev. Jen and Rev. Ashley

Blessed are the Black and Brown beloveds for whom there is no luxury of election surprise.

Blessed are the bodies with a uterus and no safe abortions.

Blessed are the bodies who live masculinity with gentleness.

Blessed are the neurodivergent, the disabled, and the chronically ill,

who remind us that interdependence is salvation.

Blessed are the Indigenous

and blessed are the stolen sacred lands.

Blessed is the Earth under the siege of climate change.

Blessed are those on whom bombs and terror fall.

Blessed are those who choose solidarity over isolation.

Blessed are those who rest when weary.

Blessed are those who nourish joy.

Blessed are those who love fiercely.

Blessed are the merciful.

Blessed are the peacemakers.

Blessed are we today that we might be

a living blessing tomorrow.
