DID YOU KNOW?
You could start off the church year as a new member of First Universalist.

It's not only the Sanctuary and Gathering Room that have been under construction
this Summer: our Library is getting a makeover, too. We've donated, consolidated, and focused First Universalist's Library, and our grand  organizational scheme is in the works - complete with an online catalogue of our books!

OUR LIBRARY

FAITH IN ACTION
Feeling despaired, frustrated, and even angry, by the current climate in the United States?
Remember that you can still make a difference in this world. First Universalist has ongoing programs working with refugees and asylum seekers, the homeless, the LGBTQ community, a partner church in Transylvania, and environmental justice.

Volunteers are needed for our monthly shift at the Preble Street Soup Kitchen. Please contact Phyllis Chinlund at  pchinlund@gmail.com

First Universalist's joint New Mainer Compassionate Housing Initiative is searching for hosts and support contacts. Please email Ashley Brookes
at ashleyatfirstu@gmail.com if you're able to help.
If you are experiencing a crisis, including needing a hospital visit, you may call Rev. Jennifer on her cellphone: 207.356.1467 any time.  Please note that Friday and Saturdays are typically her days off - Rev. Jennifer does not check email on these days, but will answer any crisis or emergency calls.

To have your announcement included in Channels, please send an email to Gwen Matthews at gwenatfirstu@gmail.com by Wednesday at 12pm.
