After meditation one morning, I wrote the following in my notebook:
You have thoughts, but you are not your thoughts.
You have physical discomforts, but you are not your physical discomforts.
You have emotions, but you are not your emotions.
I keep coming back to this. When I feel anxious, I come back to this. I'll say it again: You are not your thoughts. You are so much more.
