Thank You for Coming! December Anniversary Celebration
Our Anniversary Celebration and Silent Auction
were a huge hit!

Photo credit: Edwin Lachauer,  DOM Member

At our 13th Anniversary Celebration on December 2nd, we had over 200 attendees, many of whom participated in our silent auction through eBay leading up to and during the event. Thanks to your help and generosity, we raised nearly $7000!

Your support goes a long way at OMF. We rely on our members and community to run our free youth programs, keep class tuition and equipment rental affordable, provide nonprofit services at half the market rate and hold monthly community events.

Thank you for being a part of the community and making our work possible. Your support and participation, at every level, is the reason we are here.

Check out photos from the evening here!
Colorado Gives Day | We Can't Thank You Enough
Colorado Gives Day
This fall, in preparation for Colorado Gives Day, Denver Open Media offered several local nonprofits to join us in our studios for a unique opportunity to tell the community more about themselves.

In November, nine organizations came to Denver Open Media for a tour and a free taping of an information interview and a short pitch to explain why each organization should be given special attention on Colorado Gives Day. Every participant also received one Basic Membership and one free class with us. In addition to offering this opportunity free of charge, we raffled off two Chromebooks to two lucky participants. The event was fulfilling for us to give back and forge new relationships with fellow community leaders.

Open Media Foundation raised $22,000 on Colorado Gives Day. The support and generosity we received was amazing - from supporters new and old, friends and family.

Our deepest gratitude goes out to our supporters and we commit to continue our work, making Denver a better place for everyone.

Super Heroes at GALS | After-School Enrichment Program
Open Media Foundation partnered with Pop Culture Classroom to bring a semester-long after-school enrichment program to Girls Athletic Leadership School (GALS).

During the  program, the six middle-schoolers created their own comic book superhero stories and then translated those stories to short films. The semester culminated in a  live screening and interview show  at Denver Open Media.

The program will kick off again for the spring semester of 2017.
Open Media Foundation wishes to thank the Office of Children's Affairs at the City and County of Denver for the generous funding to make this program possible.
Staff Openings | Open Media Project Sales Representative
We are looking for a full time Sales Representative for our Open M edia Project (OMP)  software.

Through this portal, citizens can access proceedings from their laptop or phone in real time, or search for bills based on specific keywords. Some of our clients include the Colorado State Legislature, Colorado Judicial Branch, City of Littleton and Arapahoe County.

Intern Spotlight | Amy Moller
Amy has been a great part of our team at the Public Access TV Station and we are delighted to have her with us for her second internship at the Radio Station!

She has a lifelong passion for the visual arts and recently earned a Bachelor's degree in Film Studies from the University of Colorado at Denver. Of the endless avenues in the world of film, she hopes to discover which direction to take following her internships and being a part of this community.
