A Letter from Herb
Ask Herb
“People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”
-Theodore Roosevelt
At The Herb Chambers Companies, we care about every client from those who walk through our showroom or call on the phone, to those who reach out online. Herb wanted to share some insight into several questions that have come up over the past year.
The evolution and importance of online shopping, understanding the “extra services” the Herb Chambers dealerships and websites offer, and hearing it straight from Herb will aid you in deciding where to shop and service your car with confidence. From the latest trend in electric cars, to how to skip the wait when your car needs a check-up or some body work, we’ve got you covered here. You asked, now Herb wants to answer…

Online Retail Buying

Q: Do you offer a way for me to purchase a new or used vehicle online?

A: Yes, this past year we introduced Herb Chambers SMART BUY. This is our online shopping and buying tool, which makes acquiring your next car, truck or SUV your way, very easy. SMART BUY is a car-shopping experience that’s available on each and every one of the thousands of new and used vehicles we have in stock. Now, in Massachusetts and in many other states we serve, there are laws that prevent you from “completely” buying the vehicle online. The Herb Chambers SMART Buy digital retailing tool allows you to design lease terms or an auto loan payment plan from the comfort of your own home. Visit to start the process and save a tremendous amount of time when you arrive at the dealership for pick-up.

Now if you’re like me, I personally LOVE the in-dealership experience. I’m so passionate about cars! I love seeing them in person and love being able to sit in them. The colors really pop (or maybe they don’t) when you see them in person.

Another of the reasons I love this online tool is because SMART BUY is accurate! As a matter of fact, it is powered by the exact same software we use in our dealerships. With this user-friendly system, you're given the power to select your own terms and walk in with confidence that your numbers will not change. Herb Chambers SMART BUY is “open 24/7”!

We Got You

Q: My car needs some body work. Can I go to any of your dealerships for that?
A: Hey we’ve got you! At Herb Chambers cars are our passion and we recognize that accidents do sometimes happen. We have three Collision Centers ready to help! All Herb Chambers Collision Centers work for you, not the insurance company. We also work with every insurance company to provide original factory replacement parts and we have procedures to guarantee the best quality repair available. Make Herb Chambers your preferred location. For detailed information click here or visit us in Braintree, Danvers or Holliston. Our technicians are truly artists!
As for all our dealership locations, we are ready to assist with anything else your vehicle may need. A quick “check-up” or a major service repair. Again, we are your “one stop” for everything automotive!
It’s Electric!

Q: How do you feel about the latest is electric automotive technology?

A: We are seeing huge progress in range, performance, and style with the introduction of each new electric vehicle. Our dealerships are fully versed in the features and technology that the 2021 electric vehicles have to offer. We are excited about these environmentally friendly options, not to mention our consumers saving on gas.

Every new EV that is showcased at a Herb Chambers dealership has something unique to offer. Whether it’s the Hyundai Kona and its notable style and zippy performance, the impeccable driving dynamics of the 2021 Audi e-tron or the amazing affordably of the Chevrolet Volt or even the all-new Ford Mustang Mache-E, powered exclusively by electricity. The range, upgrades and new features are fascinating. You will find over 100 of these models and more at Herb Chambers. I had the chance to personally drive the Porsche Taycan and let me tell you, it drives like a Porsche sports car! The Taycan has stunning levels of acceleration and is a truly exhilarating ride in every way.
Not only is the driving experience incredible, but the styling of these new electric models is cutting-edge! These vehicles are gorgeous comfortable rides. I actually sat in the back of one of the original electric cars and it was so uncomfortable. The latest models we carry are designed with comfort in mind. Check them out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed!
Q: What is going on with vehicle availability and this chip shortage?

A: If you’ve turned on the news or picked up a newspaper (yes, I personally read the newspaper every day) you have seen something about auto manufacturers and production delays. This has plagued the auto industry entirely. The chip shortage is a major problem that we don’t yet have resolution to. Dealers are not receiving additional vehicles from the factories which is making inventory levels scarce in some places. I have started seeing situations where clients will change their mind on color or a specific option package, just to ensure they can buy a vehicle now when they want it. This is something we haven’t experienced before, so we are learning and navigating as we go.

At Herb Chambers we continue to foster innovative thinking with exceptional customer service and pride. Providing an extraordinary guest experience does not happen by accident. It happens through culture and by design. You will always find what you are looking for at one of our dealerships or online. From buying a car your way to repairing your vehicle with you in mind and keeping current with the latest auto trends, The Herb Chambers Family of dealerships has got you covered.
2021 Audi e-tron
The 2021 Audi e-tron SUV and 2021 e-tron Sportback luxury crossovers represent a major step toward the future. They both run solely on electric power, but are also true Audi vehicles through and through. The company plans to bring electrification in one form or another to virtually all of its vehicles within the next few years.

The E-tron comes as a regular SUV, although far from mundane in looks. And a Sportback version, receiving the same sloped-roof treatment as the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE-Coupe.

Size-wise, the e-tron duo sit more or less between the Q5 and the Q7. They share the same mechanicals and mostly the same equipment.

And the factories have been tooled up for mass production. In the e-tron’s case, that means a plant certified as carbon neutral, another aspect of Audi’s push toward greater sustainability.

Relax: Five Simple Steps for Satisfying Spring Cleaning
There's something calming about a clean and tidy home. Particularly after a dirt- and dust-busting spring cleaning session, it can feel like a total reset for the entire home. In fact, 90% of people feel more relaxed when their home is clean, and the positive feelings don't stop there.

The 2021 Bona Spring Cleaning Poll found a strong connection between positive emotions and a clean home. When asked how respondents feel when cleaning the home, the top four responses were productive, relieved, happy and peaceful. And when prioritizing spring cleaning to-do's, the survey respondents placed de-cluttering/organizing and floors at the top of the list.

With spring cleaning in full swing, consider channeling some of these positive vibes. Here are a few tips for tackling these top priorities so you can get back to enjoying the budding spring.

Herb Chambers is also proud to help support these organizations.
2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport
The 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is the shorter, sportier companion to the flagship Range Rover. The Sport is about five inches shorter and a bit lower, and it handles even better.
For 2021 it adds new special edition models. It also gets a more advanced climate control filtration system.
It can be had with a number of engines, from a base inline-6 to a torquey turbodiesel to a powerful V-8 to a plug-in hybrid. A third row, sized for kids, is optional.
The inline-6 is EPA-rated at 19 mpg city, 24 highway, 21 combined. The fairly rare turbodiesel is rated at 22/28/24 mpg. The plug-in hybrid earns 42 MPGe thanks to its 19 miles of electric-only range. The V-8s are at 17/22/19 mpg or 15/20/16 mpg for the high-performance SVR.
Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, active lane control, and parking sensors. Most versions add automatic high-beam headlights, though blind-spot monitors, adaptive cruise control, and a surround-view camera system are optional on many Sports.
