For Those New to Children’s Ministry - a Cohort

This fall we are offering this opportunity, free of charge, to 15 people who are New to Children’s Ministry and belong to Member Congregations. This ecumenical cohort will be a place to learn, vision, and plan together.

The excitement, rigors, and challenges of children’s ministries are improved when you have a cohort to help you along. Here is your opportunity to access current research, best practices, and the new materials you need to help you launch your ministry in today’s dynamic context that requires us to be more flexible than ever before. Beginning in September, we will gather once a month for four months on Zoom to examine:

§  first things first: how to successfully launch your ministry

§  curriculum and resources

§  classroom management

§  living the liturgical year

We ask that you try to commit to all four weeks. We will doodle to work toward a time everyone can agree to.

We are offering this opportunity to our current members before we open it to a wider audience. If you are interested please email us with your name and church by August 9th

Our leader is Elizabeth Christie, who has worked in children’s ministries for over two decades, serving and consulting in settings both large and small, and in a variety of contexts. In addition to being a consultant here at PRC, she is currently serving as the director of children, youth, and family ministries at a small urban congregation in eastern Pennsylvania. When she isn’t connecting with children and their families in the various places she ministers (including Zoom, Maker Spaces, and playgrounds), you’ll find her alongside her husband, chasing after their 7 children.

In the New Year we will offer a Cohort for Seasoned Children’s Ministry Leaders
