Your generous support will ensure that Project LEARN can expand our reach in 2021 to impact more of Lowell Public School students through game-changing programs.

With an end-of-year gift, you can help us to deliver impact to Lowell Public Schools by:

  • Engaging 300+ middle school students in coding, game design, crime science, drone flying and theatre arts.
  • Providing paid professional internship experiences to 75 rising-seniors and recent Lowell High School 2020 graduates through our new Commencement 2 Careers program.
  • Delivering free college courses and transferable college credits to 250+ Lowell High School students through Early College Lowell.
  • Creating new opportunities for thousands of Lowell students through our community-driven Portrait of a Graduate project which will reimagine and redesign the educational experience to better prepare our graduates for the jobs of the future.

Yes, we know the pandemic has also made this year one of the most trying that Lowell’s educators and families have ever faced, and now is the time to redouble our efforts and invest even more in our families, schools, and community.

One of our Lowell students could be a future business mogul, politician, engineer or musician—a future entrepreneur, like George Behrakis, UMass President Marty Meehan, Aerospace Engineer John Stack, or an opera star like the late, Rosalind Elias.

ABOUT US
From mentors, advisors, guest speakers, tutors and more, Lowell High Alumni are valuable resources for current students. The Lowell High Alumni Association, funded in part from the Cummings Foundation, is a collaboration between Project LEARN, the Greater Lowell Community Foundation and the Lowell Public School district. The mission of the Alumni Association is to help alumni connect with each other, to engage with the school, community and to inspire future generations of LHS students through mentoring, advising and tutoring. We invite alumni to connect and find ways to work on new and existing programs within the schools to better the academics and the lives of all Lowell Public School students.
