Conservationist Ben Kilham rehabilitates black bear cubs at his Kilham Bear Center in Lyme. "It's like having babies. Every four hours you have to feed them. It's a lot of work," said Kilham. His Howe Library lecture (complete with home movies) covered everything from bears' hierarchy to diets, dens, and mating habits. "Bears are afraid of humans," he said. "But they will bluff charge, if they are pushed."
