6th Annual Coastal Bend Lineman Rodeo

On Friday, April 10, NEC hosted the 6th Annual Coastal Bend Lineman Rodeo, an event that highlights the hard work and expertise of the crews that keep the lights on. Throughout the day, lineworkers from 11 cooperatives across South Texas, known as Group 7, competed in a variety of events including Speed Climb, Hurt Man Rescue, Cross Arm Replacement, and Dead-End Bell Replacement.

The rodeo was more than just a competition; it was a chance to bring people together and celebrate the men and women that keep our communities powered. We’re grateful to our lineworkers for the pride they take in their work, as well as to the families, sponsors, and sister cooperatives who joined us and helped make the event such a meaningful experience. Celebrating the People Who Power Our Co-op

This month are proud to celebrate our team with an Employee Appreciation Luncheon in honor of both Lineman Appreciation Day and Administrative Professional's Day. Whether in the field or in the office, each member of our organization plays a vital role in keep our co-op running smoothly.

To continue the celebration, employees and their families were invited to enjoy a day together at Wings Over South Texas held at NAS Kingsville. This event offered our employees a chance to relax, connect, spend time with each other and their families outside of work while enjoying an exciting community event. We are so grateful for our entire team and are proud to celebrate the people who make our co-op strong.
