Hand Pruning Tools Video
September and October are two months when pruning is not recommended due to plants having the tendency to grow new tender shoots after pruning when the temperatures are still mild. This new wood is subject to freeze damage during the first major frosts which can lead to fungal or bacterial damage in the plant well past the initial damage.
CLASS OFFERINGS
Currently, we plan to hold the first in-person pesticide school in Mills River since pre-COVID. These classes will follow the CDC and University guidelines at the time of the class so stay tuned. Currently, the classroom is set up for social distancing and masks are mandatory for everyone at all times. Anyone without a mask on will need to leave the facility.
